I have yet to successfully parry something. I can never get the timing right.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

Have you tried using the target shield? Has a longer parrying window, really helps for training (and Gwyn )
If you haven't got it yet, it's near the Capra Demon, takes two minutes to get

I did it, I left Dark Souls (therefore I have gone hollow, oh noes) and am now past the first boss of Demon's Souls. Really nice, though I really hate that you can't parry directly out of a block.

I believe I do have that shield. Hmph well maybe I'll give it a shot sometime. I took a break since the batteries in my controller died and my system didn't come with a chord.

Told you to practice in Anor Londo, really helps to parry Silver Knights over and over

Should have saved Solaire. Makes the fight much more easier...

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

Even tho I did summon Solaire for Gwyn the first time I dont suggest it,its much more satisfying doing it on your own.
With Solaire its basicly you hit over and over while Gwyn pounds the warrior of the sun, nothing intresting to it

.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011

I'd agree with that. That's how I did it on my first go. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing Gywn leap at you when you first enter then immediately parry his attack. Guy goes turn in about 3 or 4 parries with Power Within and BKH equipped.
