Been playing another daggers only run. forgot how difficult that can be in spots. If anyone wants to try it I recommend they get very good at parrying and carry the hornet ring with them. Once you get the dagger up to plus 15 it's really bad ass but you'll never break someone's poise with it. Still if you can parry then it's alot easier... too bad you can't parry bosses other than the final boss which I find odd. Once I get to Gwyn I can kill him in two shots for the most part *depending if I get crystal magic weapon*.
I'd love to see you fight Ceaseless Discharge, Nito and the Iron Golem wigh daggers
Whats more powerful, enchanted dragonbone/daedric daggers of skyrim or +15 bandit/parrying dagger with Hornet Ring in Dark Souls?
Im gonna join the Cat Covenant so I can get the ring that lets you do cartwheels lol. Ive never gotten it before, will I be able to do all those cartwheels while in my Sunbro,Tarkus or Leeroy sets or do I have to be a vanilla midget?
lol I LOVE that ring! Going to get it soon. O and A are giving me fits. lol I'm trying to do it without getting help from SunBro. I think I'd do better if I were drunk.
Nito and the Iron Golem aren't a problem at all with the daggers. I have them built up by the time I fight them.... And I always cheese Ceasless Discharge no matter what weapon I use. lol It's just too tempting not to just three shot him with no worry of death.
I should have given you the Calamity Ring when we played so you'd have a playthrough that's a real challenge.
I've never cheesed Ceaseless because I never knew how to lol, I tried one time when he was given me fits and he killed me. Think you're suppose to run back to the entrance amd do something which makes him fall. I'm gonna do the dlc this run so I can fight Artorias, should be easy if im going in as Black Iron Tarkus. I will cheese Manus though because I know how to
Yeah you need to be able to run fast to cheese Ceaseless. You simply go back and grab his sisters gear *or is it his mom's?... forgot what the lore says* and that wakes Ceaseless up. Walk a few steps towards him until he does that first attack and then sprint back to the door. If you can run fast you'll make it. Then just wait at the door until he slams his hand down. It wont hit you. Then simply walk up to the hand and it it a few times and he dies. It's really simple.
Here's a video clip. This guy has the Fog Ring on but that doesn't matter at all.
Maybe I'll try that today then since last thing I did was grab the Lordvessel. When I tried it I threw a lightning spear at him because if I died I didn't want him hostile. I only grabbed the set after I defeated him. I was at the entrance and he killed me though so maybe I need to do what you said and move towards him and dodge his first attack.
And its his sister, his mom is thing in the middle of the bed of chaos.
What should I do first when I play DS tonight. Do the DLC, get the Woodgrain Ring or try to cheese Ceaseless? Once I get the ability to warp I usually spend hour just wandering the world aimlessly which is why my Soupbro is over 140 hours and its only NG++
Well I've accomplished 2 out of 3 I'm not gonna do the dlc right now because I wanna kinda focus my 360 time on my new game of Tomb Raider.
Ceaseless was insanely easy. I guess the problem really was me not grabbing the set to make him go hostile.
It's amazing how many bloodstains are at Darkroot Gardens, the Forrest Dwellers are pretty tough. Especially when you aggro 2 of them. I had that knight with the greatsword attack me but I ended up dying when the Mage joined the fray. I them switched to Hornet Ring and my +15 Richards Rapier and I made quick work of them. I wish there were more humanlike enemies because I love using the rapier alongside the hornet ring.
I love doing cartwheels using the grass shield to help with stamina.
I used the Hornet Ring in Anor Londo and for the Gwyn fight in my last playthrough. I'd equip it and Richards Rapier and would one shot every silver knight and the Gwyn fight was so easy lol. I didn't 2 shot him like you but I beat him fairly quick. Also what I noticed today was when using the Rapier I could have my shield up while attacking , I'd use it more often but it's only really good for parrying and backstabbing.
