Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011
at me not seeing that door. Okay out of that dungeon now, that cunt wasn't so bad after I had the flask and a real weapon.
Combat seems a little clunky in this game, could just be i'm using a slow character though (Bandit) I dunno.

It's not clunky. You just might be moving poorly because of your weight. Endurance is the most important stat you can level up. Vitality and Strength/Dexterity follow in that order.
Endurance boosts Equip Load, Stamina, and raises defenses. Do you know how Equip Load works?

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011
I'm guessing it has to do with how much shit you can hold/emcumbrance (is that a word, I think so). I'll look into it more tommorow, i'm tired.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011
I finally finished it last night, soul level 61 in the end.
Absolutely brilliant game, i think it's easier than Demon's Souls but still bloody tricky.
I like that once the credits have finished you get chucked straight back into it from the beginning but with all your gear. Taking out that big fella with the hammer really quickly was very satisfying.

Re: Dark Souls - October 4th, 2011
I don't know if I would put endurance as the most important. I think it only depends on the play style you want to go for. I still haven't put a single point into endurance and doing fine. I simply let the rings take care of the stamina/eq load boosting for me.
So far the only flaw in the combat system I don't like is the fact that weapons are able to damage someone through walls. If the weapon is long enough such as a spear/halberd their able to strike through a concrete wall. Its a minor bug in the game, nothing serious that would ruin gameplay.

I've beaten Sen's Fortress and made it Anor Lando. This game is truly unforgiving.

I think I overleveled. I've been farming slabs for a few days and finally said "fuck it" and beat the game.

Is that Fire Shrine the only place to refill the flask?
