I'm not sure how this game seems easier to some of you guys than Demon's Souls. Demon's Souls was wayyyyyy easier. I can almost beat it with a fresh character and die less than 5x. Dark Souls throws in tons and tons of gratuitous OHKOs, so I have to keep replaying areas over and over because of stuff one hitting me (I'm even wearing the heaviest/best armor available). That plus initial weapons seem to do really awful damage. Even the Winged Spear that was mentioned, it's a lot worse than the Winged Spear in Demon's Souls was. It's just funny how basically the dregs at the beginning of the game only take 20 damage from my weapon, but I take 200+ from theirs while in full armor. wtf? And 600+ from Black Knights.
I'm glad you don't lose half your health bar when you die anymore, but it honestly feels like a permenant halved health bar with how fast it depletes. Maybe even worse.
Do you mean the Black Knight with it's back to you at the end of the long alley? If so I beat him and got his shield and there was a corpse at the end of the alley with a ring that increases DEF when your HP is low.
I'm stuck at the very start, knight yaps on then dies, I started crapping myself as I heard movements then saw this white figure - looked like a ghoul, I ran to the massive wooden door but it said it was locked or something, so I turned it off and aint been on since.
Remember tge merchant in the sewers? The locked gate is next to him. The guys who shoot toxin are annoying, but they don't respawn. Also, expect to be poisoned quite a bit. Also, don't miss tge badass Iaito.
