Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

Kind of looking forward to their PS2 purge. GBA games are all 25% and it stacks with other deals like my 10% off PUR card and Buy 2 Get 1 Free, etc. I've pretty much gotten all the expensive and rare GBA games you can think of thanks to that and used stores around here.

PS2 games at 25% off + 10% off that. Can't wait. And if there's a deal like late April with Buy 2 Get 1 on GC, Xbox, PS2 and GBA, I'll be a happy man.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

I think they're as cheap as they're going to get. One day they're just going to disappear like the retro games did (remember when gamestop was awesome and sold retro games?). They're all going here:

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

I remember when Gamestop did their PS1 purge and was selling Persona 2 for $39.99. I want to go back in time and buy every PS1 game I could .

GRRR, you know what's worse? I remember when the Funcoland in the Mall of America was discounting NEW copies of Earthbound in the oversized box and I didn't buy one....or ten.

Gamestop used to sell Sega Genesises and N64s for $4.99 a piece (not that long ago either)

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

There is a Gamestop like 3 blocks from my work. I should check out what they're selling.

What area is it in? There's a good chance I've been to it in the last month or two .

The Gamestops in Brooklynn Center, West St. Paul, Crystal, Uptown, Eagen, and Maple Grove are my favorites so far. They usually have the rarer games or a more diverse collection than "FPS FPS FPS Madden FPS FPS Pokemon"

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

The one by my work is the West St. Paul location off Robert St. I'm pretty sure its a gamestop at least, i've only driven past it a million times.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

Nice, that is where I got Grandia 2 and Sakura Wars. They had ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, all the Katamari games, Fatal Frame 1-3, Xenosaga 1-3, Suikoden III and IV, and a few others I can't think of.

Go buy Suikoden 3. I think it is $12.99 which is a steal. Game Central had it for $40 when I was at the store today. Price Charting says the FMV is $15 so that is a good deal.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

You should do the pickup@store option for it just to make sure it is there.

http://www.gamestop.com/ps2/games/suikoden-3/20325

I should have done that when I went for Sakura Wars because when I got there, the guy said I was really lucky because someone had just almost bought it 5 minutes earlier but he pussied out because it didn't have the bonus soundtrack with it. Picky dude considering it is hard as hell to find.
