It is 10 years old now and was officially stopped 4 years ago, so maybe give it another 5 years before it goes retro.

never heard of guardian heroes before you mentioned it,just checked out some footage and reviews and it does look pretty impressive,i'll look forward to it coming out on xbla.
maybe games have moved on from the golden axe,final fight,streets of rage days but i genuinely believe that there is still a market out there for these types of games if they are given enough effort and each playable character has a massive range of their own individual moves and combo's.a game like streets of rage made 2day with ssf 4's graphics is a game id play for months and months with friends.

if imperfection is the lense that you see me through,dont be surprised if some day soon that lense stares back at you

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

A modern SoR would be so full of win. But didn't they do an update of Golden Axe? I heard that wasn't very well received either.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

I recently received a Wii, and a 2000 point wii card. I\'m intending to install homebrew and emulators on my Wii, but I still felt obligated to use the point card. So I purchased Secret of Mana, and have been switching between that and Twilight Princess.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

Picked up both Zelda NES games (gold cartridges) and Final Fantasy Tactics Advance today for $20 total. Really excited to add them to my collection. I only owned the normal cartridges before now.

As long as there's a Triforce, there will be a Zelda;
as long as there's a prosperous kingdom, there will be an evil bent on destroying it;
and as long as there's an oppressive force threatening Hyrule, there will be a boy...

in a green tunic, silver shield, and magic blade to stand against it.
