I still play all of the old Final Fantasy's I even have emulators on my phone and play them at work.

yeah,i play streets of rage 2 alot,great game.been playing final fight quite abit too.surely there is an untapped market in the current gaming world for these sort of games isnt there? id love to see modern versions of this sort of game.

The only way developers are going to make 2d side scrolling beat-em-ups is if they are downloadable titles on PSN, XBLA or WiiWare. There isn't interest nor is there any money left in them. Guardian Heroes is coming out for XBLA sometime this fall so I'd pick that up if I were you. It's the best beat-em-up and one of the best games for the Sega Saturn.

I brought Chrono Trigger from the VC today, needless to say I am very excited. I intend on buying Final Fantasy VI (III) soon as well as I've never played a 'proper' RPG before.
