Don't let the graphics fool you, this is 50x more fun than most retail games if you're a creative person. It's also a survival " no ends" game that is better played with friends. The map is 5 times the size of Earth, so plenty of landscape to explore.
I remember being over at a friends house and watching him play Minecraft and really enjoying, I had a go and wanted to play it when I got back home. I bought it for about £9.99, I think, when it was still in it's early beta stages. I just couldn't stop playing it at the time. The funny thing is, I stopped playing the game before it even had it's full release...
Occasionally I play it here and there just to build something stupid. But I won't spend hours on it like I used to.
