Re: General Gaming Discussion

Sephiroth hyped the shit out of it, so maybe that's why.

Crysis 2 is a good game as well, but it's fairly linear and even though technically is miles ahead of DE: HR, it gets kinda repetitive after a while, very few enemy types and repeated boss fights make it more of a chore to play after the first 3-4 hours. If you want to play a game where your choices influence the story, has a good ammount of variety and replay value, go with Deus Ex, if you want to play an FPS were you just blow stuff up in fashion all the time, go with Crysis 2.
damn, this is a perfect way to describe Crysis 2. I would have probably added in a little more hate since I dished out $60 and finished it within a few hours, but everything else is accurate.

I don't understand where all the love for FarCry 3 is (other than this site). Best FPS in a few years IMO.
I prefer Borderlands 2 still.

Getting a little bored with FarCry now but i've played it a shitload in the last week. Its less fun when you start clearing out the map.

Crysis 2 looks really pretty, that's about all it has going for it. Deus Ex was fucking awesome.

Re: General Gaming Discussion

I still need to beat Deus Ex but I enjoyed the little bit I played. Pretty much only beat the first mission and a little beyond.

Re: General Gaming Discussion

I actually loved Dishonored. Pretty much everything about it entertained me, the only thing that I didn't really like the double cross you could see coming from a mile away, but even that didn't make me dislike the game. I enjoyed the characters that they had, all seemed like they wanted to use you for their own good, never really knew who to trust. The City as well just had a brilliant atmosphere to it, always filled with different ways to complete a mission. You never had to do it the straight forward way. It definitely reminded me of Half-Life 2, another City I love the look of.

Even the combat felt great and I thought they did a good job with the stealth mechanics for a FPS. I played it like that in my first playthrough, hardly killing anyone. Letting other people get rid of my targets. Then the second, I just used my Blink move (Which I loved) all through the game. Blink, Stab, Blink, Stab. Great fun.

I still would like to play it again. Just to see if I can finish it without killing anyone. Also like to do another to get all the abilities because I hardly touched any of them. Mainly just used Blink, Possession and the one that let's you see through walls.

Re: General Gaming Discussion

I loved how you had the option to go through the game and kill absolutely nobody, had great fun doing that as well as my high chaos playthrough using all the cool powers, never got bored.

Re: General Gaming Discussion

Yeah, like I said before, that's one thing I'm hoping to do on another play through. Going to be tough to not kill anyone. The high chaos play through was a total bloodbath. Anyone I saw didn't stand a change. They had the knife to the neck treatment like all the rest.

Re: General Gaming Discussion

Uncharted 3 has probably the best environments I've seen in a videogame.

Just more of a shame, in that case, that it feels like the game is playing you most of the time, rather than the other way round.
