Just got into RE6 today. Mind you this is my first RE game so if anything I say seems noobish, I apologize.
Like the game so far, for the most part. Not too keen on what's actually going on, but I'm picking up on the characters fairly easily. Gives you a great challenge throughout every chapter in that you have to have a good shot or rise running out of ammo when you need it. Ammo's not a resource you can just piss away whenever you see fit. Makes you think before you shoot rather than spraying and praying. Graphics are great. Camera angles can fuck me up at times since they'll switch into some unexpected cinematic angle which I'll think is an actual cut scene when in reality it's not and then I die. Controls aren't the greatest either, but they're manageable. Still haven't been able to crouch or jump, but it doesn't seem as though it's necessary since pretty much every motion you can make in the game besides walking and sprinting requires a cut scene. Really annoying when I have to sit through a brief cut scene just to open a door or climb a ledge.
Only completed the first chapter in Chris' campaign. Slightly itching to get back on.
LC, I know how much you love Dark Souls and Skyrim...have you heard of Dragon's Dogma?
It might be $40, so $20 after your giftcard and you'll be playing this for possibly as long as a playthru of Skyrim/Dark Souls.
I really like Dragon's Dogma, I knew I would as soon as I heard the music on the menu screen. At least listen to it up to a minute if you don't like the start.
Still haven't finished it actually, that's one to get back to. I love how your friends pawns were available for free, managed to get a couple of beasts thanks to that which made things a bit easier.
Resident Evil 4 was the best game in the new direction that the series took. After it, they tried to replicate it so many times and failed. As for the question - Crysis 2 or Deus Ex, I'd go for Deus Ex. Found Crysis 2 far too boring. It was beautiful, though...
And on the subject of Tomb Raider, who's looking forward to the added multiplayer...?

I will most likley not care. I will play it, but not for any great length. Crysis 3 multiplayer looks boss though.
