But this one was much better; it was probably the dub step.
Yeah plus that flamethrower is a fucking monster. Shame he didn't get blazed but the other hallucinogenics make up for it anyway

The missions are incredible, and the music is God-tier. My favourite licensed soundtrack this gen. Only problem is there's nothing really to do outside of the story and you can't cause mayhem like you might in other sandbox games.

Little neat touches such as holding a clothes store hostage, then coming back a few minutes later to find it a taped off crime scene is great. The snow setting in the first part of the game is magnificent.

I'll agree with haribo. I started Mafia II a few weeks ago, it was great. I've yet to complete it yet but, what I played so far was good. The snow at the start is also great if you enjoy the scenery and shit.

Mafia 2 was awesome. In terms of characters, story and voice acting it's stellar, the action is pretty fun as well, some people don't like the fact that there aren't any side activities/mission, but this game isn't supposed to be a GTA style sandbox, it's just an open world game, like LA Noire.

I'm trying to replay through the walking dead, but do stuff differently. It's hard, because I have to be complete ass to clementine and kenny; buddy up to Lilly and Larry

so Yahtzee thinks Spec Ops: the Line (As well as FarCry 3) are worthy of top 5 best games in 2012.
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/vide...m_campaign=all

but he also makes note that 2012 wasn't so great of a year for video games.

I'd agree with Far Cry. Generally I'm trying to skip cut scenes in games, but the cut scenes were so well done in Far Cry. Not to mention the amount of side quests were pretty cool. I got to shoot a shark in the face with a rocket launcher! How many games allow you to do that? Of course, the game wasnt without its faults. It took literally 5 minutes for the main character to go from trashy drunk douche to Rambo, and it was all due to a tattoo.

Yeah that's what I thought. Seems like the type of thing i'd pick up on a Steam deal of the day, but unfortunately it's a PS3 exclusive. I might eventually pick up the Greatest Hits version when I stumble on it. I want to support the developers, but I don't know if i'm in the mood right now for something that's so reliant on quick time events.
