PS2 is my 3rd most favorite system; heres why:

1.) Game Boy Advance is my favorite because it's the first system I ever bought with my own money and it was completely mine.

2.) Xbox 360 I think is just a really good system. It was super easy to setup, great interface (obviously it was after the PS2 so it should be better), great controller.

3.) PS2 is amazing. Better than PS3.

What games were the PS2 still releasing other than shitty shovel-ware games and sports game? Might as well have stopped a couple of years ago lol.

Not had my PS2 that long (maybe 2 years now), but I love it. Picked up around 30 games in total thanks to awesome pre-owned deals (3 for £5, 4 for £10 etc) and I genuinely like pretty much every game I own for it.

The PS2 has been dead for years now, it just wasn't made official. Like mentioned above, they weren't releasing any new games anyway, only annual multiplatform sport games. Still, great console, nonetheless, quite possibly the system with the greatest game library.

Only gane I remember playing on PS2 was San Andreas. I was always more of a gamecube player back then.

Has anyone played Dead Rising 2 Off the Record? I played DR2 and had tons of fun but that was when I didnt play online. Saw it today for cheap and wondered if I ahould get it someday. Whats more fun than being in a huge mall full of zombies. Always hated how on DR 2 there was no free mode. Being timed sucked.

Damn. I loved the PS2. I didn't get a PS3 until 2010, so the only game console I had at the time before I got my PS3 was a PS2.

They couldn't let it live to 2013?

Edit: Just read that the PS2 was discontinued in Japan only, but thats probably the beginning of the end for the PS2.

Sakura Wars came out in 2010 for PS2. Last great game I can think of. Much better than a lot of games in recent years. Go PS2!
