Re: General Gaming Discussion
He doesn't have to like it, though. Did I like Final Fantasy XIII? Not really. It streamlined everything I loved about Final Fantasy XII, amplified the mediocre and melodrama storyline which XII lacked (thankfully), and was more bloated for about half the content. Games change (Final Fantasy XII itself was a huge change as well). Doesn't necessarily mean all fans have to like it. I understand why some fans would feel that their favorite franchises are no longer the way they used to be (like Resident Evil fans). Fallout 3 essentially played like an Elder Scrolls game, not a Fallout game (from what I gather). That's not progress for the sake of evolution. That's copying and pasting from a different series and reskinning it. Again, he doesn't have to like the changes. Just like Resident Evil 6 becoming a sort of bastard child of a game it helped influence (Dead Space) and a Third-Person military shooter. You can either like the changes or hate 'em. There's no right or wrong when it comes right down to it.
