It's hard to tell what specs the next generation will have, but I'd be surprised if they did anything other than play catch-up, considering how far ahead PC tech is by now. So, yeah, you're pretty much fine.

I've seen recommendations on SSDs as opposed to HDDs. On my research, I found that they're much expensive and probably the only one I can afford (without going overboard) is a 120GB SSD, which is very low. Do you think pairing up a smaller HDD with a 120GB SSD would suffice? I'm really trying not to go overboard, but I really want my first build to last.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
Probably just go with a 500GB HDD and save some money for a bigger SSD.
Future proofing is good, but where does it end? It's probably better to build something that will suit your needs now instead of in 5 years time. Upgrading doesnt have to be a complete overhaul of your system. Just doing things bit by bit is probably better.

If you're already overbudget, an SSD is an unnecessary luxury. You can always upgrade later if you feel you absolutely need that speed.
In other news, the good doctors Muzyka and Zeschuck have left Bioware. Is this the official "Bioware's best days are behind them" moment?

Re: General Gaming Discussion
Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days any good? I played about 20 minutes of it like some weeks ago, but the crosshair of the weapons were too big that I kept missing the enemies, even when pointing the crosshair to their heads. Does it get any better? Story any good? I know it's only 4-5 hours, but I don't mind, don't have much time to play anyway.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
K&L 2 is fucking terrible. As was the first, which is a shame because they had the potential to be amazing.

Kane & Lynch is the worst series created in this generation of games.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
Just curious, what's your guys backlog atm? Mine's pretty small right now
Resident Evil 6 Demo (co op)
Transformers: FOC
Sleeping Dogs
Borderlands 2
then soon Fifa 13, NBA 2K13 and WWE 13. Also, how do you guys manage your backlog? Do you play your least anticipated one first? Most anticipated? Or just randomly?
