Re: General Gaming Discussion
I'd probably go for 8 gigs RAM, and a 1 TB hard drive. Games be big these days. Also, not sure if you've factored in a copy of Windows 7.
As for motherboard, etc, try this: http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/05/08/th...ards-and-more/

I'm playing it through at the moment, you might be the guy to ask this then. I'm having trouble with the boss that splits into two, one that only gets hurt by magic, and one that only gets hurt by physical attacks.
I've gotten so close a couple of times but always come short, I'm currently levelling up a bit (it's a slow process) and dabbling with some fusions but wondering if you've got any tips?

Are sound cards absolutely essential? I know I need a DVD drive. That shouldn't be much. Less than $20, really.
Mister Hands, I'm fine with 500GB or less. 1TB sounds excessive, but if it's cheap, maybe. How's Corsair when it comes to RAM? What's the best company that I can go with on a budget for that? That motherboard doesn't sound that bad, actually. A friend will be helping with the copy of Windows 7.
You guys have been a real help.

No, not essential. Most on-board sound is pretty good nowdays. Just wasnt sure if you wanted things like Dolby 7.1 etc.
Same with networking. Just make sure your chosen motherboard has an 'NIC' (Network Interface Controller) or an Ethernet Controller, which most have nowdays, but some exist without.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
recommend getting a ssd as well as a harddrive (put demanding things on SSD, it helps a crazy amount)

Re: General Gaming Discussion
is there going to be a difference between 360 and PS3 Borderlands 2? Gamestop people didn't know. I haven't found anything online, but I'm afraid I might miss something.
also, what will people here most likely be playing it on?

Re: General Gaming Discussion
I'll be playing it on the PC, like I usually do. Besides, first person games are a lot better played on PC.
