Lol. I bought that for DS. No need for the 3DS version.

Re: General Gaming Discussion

Yeah, I have it. I don't like it as much as the first one, but I'll take what I can get with these games, since they're so few on the DS.

Mister Hands, thanks again.

Okay, so after all the suggestions and searching, I'm missing only a motherboard, mouse, keyboard, tower, speakers, and a HDD. Probably something else too, but I'm new at this stuff. Here are upgraded specs for a supposed PC build for under 850$ (not including monitor, keyboard, mouse, and speakers). BTW, these are Compusa/Best Buy prices.

CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K BX80623I52500 Unlocked Processor - Quad Core, 6MB L3 Cache, 1MB L2 Cache, 3.30 GHz (3.70 GHz Max Turbo), Socket H2 (LGA1155), 95W, Fan
219.99

GPU: NVIDIA - GeForce GTX 560 Ti 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 Graphics Card
269.99

HDD: Preferably 250-300GB.
Price Range: 59.99 - 84.99

Memory: Corsair CMX12GX3M3A1333C9 XMS3 Desktop Memory Kit - 12GB (3x 4GB), PC3-10600, DDR3-1333MHz, 9-9-9-24 CAS Latency, XMS Heat Spreader
72.99

Motherboard: Unknown as of now. Needs to hold everything, though, and be compatible with everything.
Price Range: 69.99 - 149.99

Tower: Unknown. Needs to have built-in power supply, have its own fans, and be able to fit everything inside. Also needs to do output about 500 in watts.
Price Range: 39.99 - 89.99

Including accessories and monitor.

Monitor: Acer G215HV 22" Class Widescreen LCD Monitor - 1920 x 1080, 16:9, 20000:1 Dynamic, 60Hz, 5ms, DVI, VGA, Energy Star
119.99

Keyboard + Mouse = $60

Anything I'm missing other than the aforementioned?

Re: General Gaming Discussion

I'd probably go for 8 gigs RAM, and a 1 TB hard drive. Games be big these days. Also, not sure if you've factored in a copy of Windows 7.

As for motherboard, etc, try this: http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/05/08/th...ards-and-more/

I'm playing it through at the moment, you might be the guy to ask this then. I'm having trouble with the boss that splits into two, one that only gets hurt by magic, and one that only gets hurt by physical attacks.

I've gotten so close a couple of times but always come short, I'm currently levelling up a bit (it's a slow process) and dabbling with some fusions but wondering if you've got any tips?

Are sound cards absolutely essential? I know I need a DVD drive. That shouldn't be much. Less than $20, really.

Mister Hands, I'm fine with 500GB or less. 1TB sounds excessive, but if it's cheap, maybe. How's Corsair when it comes to RAM? What's the best company that I can go with on a budget for that? That motherboard doesn't sound that bad, actually. A friend will be helping with the copy of Windows 7.

You guys have been a real help.

No, not essential. Most on-board sound is pretty good nowdays. Just wasnt sure if you wanted things like Dolby 7.1 etc.

Same with networking. Just make sure your chosen motherboard has an 'NIC' (Network Interface Controller) or an Ethernet Controller, which most have nowdays, but some exist without.
