Re: General Gaming Discussion
No love for Hitman Absolution? I have to admit, I played Hitman: Contracts and Hitman: Blood Money, but I failed to remain stealthy in them, always ended up blasting my way through levels, but I loved the concept of the series. Absolution seems like a change from all that, it doesn't feature nice colorful areas like the older Hitmans, it seems more like SC Conviction or Batman, it has that dark, shadowy gimmick and look to it. But still looks promising. The new Assassin's Creed has the potential to be a great game as well.
I noticed that the game Dead Island was pretty well received and many people are playing it, including members of this forum. My question is, what do people like in that game? I gave it a shot this week, put around 2-3 hours in it, finished the first act, done some side quests and stuff and I kept asking myself the question, why am I playing it? The game is just ugly all around, nothing attractive about it, nothing really good about it, except maybe the exploration and looting, but that's not enough to keep me interested. Graphics are insanely shiny and blurry and the people around you are just uninteresting, just like the story and gameplay. Slashing zombies isn't even fun, it's rather annoying.
