Dark Souls is my console GOTY.
Here's the trick, be cautious, always have your shield up (except when your stamina needs to regenerate), get the Drake Sword right away, get Iron Flesh right away (it makes EVERYTHING EASY).
Seriously, it's easier than Demon's Souls. Buy it used from Gamestop and then return it in 7 days if you don't like it. They have a "you didn't like? fine, whatever bitch" policy for returns so they don't give a shit.

lolGamestop. I sold my copy of Batman AC for $40 on Glyde within 3-4 hours of putting it up for sale, i recall someone saying Gamestop was offering them $25 in this thread  .

Gamestop may be shit sometimes, but they are very VERY easy to take advantage of.
Oh shit, my copy of Mortal Kombat is scratched.
1. Go to Gamestop
2. Buy used copy
3. Switch the bad disc for the good disc
4. Wait a few hours to a day
5. Go back in
6. Return it for a refund
7. Profit
You've got yourself a working disc.
