You should start with Gears 3. Gears campaigns are kinda short, you can finish it in a day if you have time. I suggest you save the best for last, aka Deus Ex.

I really want to finish Dead Island, but I am getting very frustrated at it. Some parts of the game are particularly hard when you are going at it alone and have two or three infected running up on you along with a few walkers.

I could have $24,000 saved up and be ready to upgrade my weapons and then *bam* die a few times and I'm down to half of that sitting at $12K. I guess that's the price I pay (no pun intended) for not going at it in co-op more often then I do.

Batman: Arkham City, I'm guessing that is what you were referring to, in my opinion is not over-hyped in the least little bit. If it's even a 1/4 of what Arkham Asylum was then it will be GOTY material hands down.

Arkham Asylum was one of the best games I have played in years. Whether one likes Batman, or superhero games in general, really does not matter. It was just that damn good (to coin a phrase lol).

Arkham City, if anything imo is not hyped up enough. It will be an amazing game that should live up to everyone's expectations.

The only thing I see people complaining about is "It did not have enough new features etc", or "It was the same as Asylum but in an open environment". Granted that may be the case in some instances but as the old saying goes if it ain't broke then don't fix it.

I can't wait, and I was not meaning to go on a rant but Asylum was one of my favorite all time games of the future gen consoles and I'm almost positive that A City will surpass it in every manner.

GOD of CUNT

Beat the first boss in Demon's Souls today (yeah, I'm way late to the party). IT FEELS SO GOOD. Only died one time, which is a huge step up from where I was just a couple days ago. Basically just covered my axe in turpentine and hacked away at the thing until it died.

I should've stuck with this when I bought it a few months ago rather than tapping out after a little while. I probably would've been all over Dark Souls as soon as it came out if I did.

I just started playing this on Friday and agree about being far too late to the party. Currently getting my arse kicked off the boss in 4-1. Only fought it two or three times but the arsekicking was such that I decided to take a break for tonight. It's going back THROUGH the level again which gets me. I don't even mind losing the souls as much.

Also hoping there isn't some later stage where magic is rendered useless or something... because my character is brittle as fuck and melee fighting is usually a last resort or against weaker enemies.
