Some PC gamers definitely seem to look down on console players, which I think is hilarious. I don't like PC gaming for a few reasons: First off, the controls on a PC are fucking terrible. Second, you constantly have to upgrade your PC over time and that costs shit loads of money. When you buy a console, that's it.
When it comes to controls, its to each his own. I think reactions are a lot quicker with PC controls. Especially in FPS's. I really hate consoles controls for RPG's. I feel you turn too slowly.
Also, I built my computer for about 700 in 2008 and I can still run every new PC game with ease. The PC game market has suffered due to more people owning consoles. It's not worth the money for them to make top of the line graphic wise video games due to them most likely not making profit.
After using a PC for so long I started to dislike console games, but people who bash one another are fucking stupid. It's a matter of preference, and people should realize that.
I'm getting a little sick of PC/RPG purists telling everyone how they're "failing" and "doing it wrong" by purchasing Skyrim on Xbox. I enjoy and prefer playing certain games on the computer, but really, shut the fuck up. They've perfected the console experience (a massive improvement in drawing distance, for instance), and the button layout looks to work like a dream on the controller, similarily to Oblivion. Also there's no need for me to drop big money on upgrading my shitty system when it's practically the same game on older hardware in 360.
I've got no problem with people playing games on whatever system they choose (though, personally, I don't understand how anyone could enjoy an FPS with anything other than mouse and keyboard) - BUT the notion of spending huge amounts of money upgrading PCs every few years is pretty bogus these days. Any decent mid-range system from the last four or five years should run most console ports handily enough (barring lazy developers neglecting make the PC version run properly, of course, the fuckers), and you make most of your money back in savings since PC games sell cheaper, and fall in price much quicker. Plus, Steam sales.
I find gaming on PC more practical and easier. I thought playing on keyboard+mouse would annoy me after using the 360 controller for almost 2 years, but it's better.
I can't play games on PC unless they are controller supported(mapping is terrible most of the time), using a mouse and keyboard is just way to tedious for me.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
Also not a fan of using keyboard+mouse to game but I assume thats mostly because I have been playing consoles my whole life from the Atari 2600 to the Playstation 3. I can see how keyboard mapping is superior in some games though, like Dragon Age if you're playing as a Mage.

So, huh. God of War Origins Collection isn't the original two games of the franchise packed together, but a HD re-release of the two PSP installations. This could be confusing for new players looking to get into GOW.
How would that be confusing? The PS2 games are already available in HD on PS3 in God of War Collection.
Sounds a bit like how John Riccitiello, CEO of EA, thinks. He always seems to think that multiplayer should be a part of every game. He stated that's the reason why Mirror's Edge didn't sell well. Which is why I don't like EA owning Bioware, but that's just my personal feelings towards them. Sure they'll help them out alot...
Also heard Cliffy B saying something along those lines.
As for PCs. I mainly just use mine for games that don't come out on consoles, like STALKER, the Total War series and Plants Vs. Zombies.
