Yeah it does. Sony are doing that with every exclusive from now on. I was hoping it was just something you had to buy when the trial period was over.
Heard a couple of stories of people buying the game new then buying the online pass as well. Idiots.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
Last game I rented was Portal 2. I can't get into the game when I rent them, because I know I won't be able to finish them, and I know that I only have the game for a couple days so I 'force' myself to play them.
That being said I borrow DVD's from my rental store heaps, and I'll be truly sad once these rental stores are finished. Hopefully that never happens.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
I never thought I see an end credits list longer than Metal Gear Solid 4. Congratulations Resistance 3.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
I no longer rent games. The last time I rented a game was back in 2007 - Halo 3. Wanted to see what all the hype was about, so I rented it. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Kinda wish I bought it back then, but there were too many other games I wanted more (like Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed).

Re: General Gaming Discussion
I haven't rented a game for fucking years. Think the last one I rented was back in the late 90s. I also don't trade in games after the last time I got like £10 for 3 games. Just pointless, especially since they sell them for far more than they bought it off you.
That's one of the main reasons why I have such a big gaming collection. But I know that if I like it a lot, I'm going to play the story mode, or multiplayer, again. Just like GTAIV, Bioshock, Mass Effect, CoD, etc.. Even achievements help to keep me playing. But I only really buy games that I know I'll like and ones that will keep me playing again and again.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
That's also one of the reasons why I do not trade games in. For one reason or another, I might be in the mood to play something I haven't played in months or even years. Lo and behold, I may not have it because I traded it in. In my opinion, the money you get for trading it is not worth it most of the time anyway. I regret trading in a few of my games, so I don't do it anymore.
