So, I went into the Blockbuster by my house today to learn that it's closing as of this Monday. There goes all my gaming rentals, basically. There is only one other place in this city now that will rent games/movies and for a city of 55,000, that's going to be a bitch considering there were 3 Blockbusters here in total and all 3 of them shut down at the same time, so everyone from all of the Blockbusters are going to be going to this one lone place now which is going to make getting things tricky. There also won't be any new type of rental place opening up because that type of business is dead, hence why Blockbuster went under in the first place.

Funny thing though, I rented Dead Island on Tuesday when it came out. I asked them if it was smart to get games in the day before they knew if they were even going to be there or not (They were going to find out Wednesday and I didn't go back until today which technically is Saturday because it's 3:50 am here but at the time it was Friday.....you get what I mean), to which the guy stated that a buyer was interested and they felt good about it so they got the games in. Well, they went under and my copy of Dead Island isn't due back until Tuesday and they will be closed by then, so thanks for Dead Island, Blockbuster.

Are we still getting 'week trials' for online play when we rent a game? I hate this online pass system to stamp out the pre-owned/rental business. It was in a load of games last year (only one I experienced was SvR 2011 iirc) but I've not heard of the free trial since. Better had still be going otherwise I'll strike the likes of Resistane 3 & Battlefield 3 straight off my list.
