Re: General Gaming Discussion
I'm playing KOTOR 1 right now and I played KOTOR 2 years ago so I don't recall what is so awful in comparison between the two. Going to need to play KOTOR 2 again.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
I'm not saying there was anything particularily awful about II compared to the first (besides the lameass ending), and I enjoyed it as a whole. But there are bits and parts where you get this feeling that the developer added this and changed that just for the sake of being different to the previous title. But I guess playing them in reverse order helps. Infact you might find the original KOTOR lacking and flat. I got it from Steam for a ridiculous price this week and the nostalgia is killing me.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
I don't see much of a difference to be honest, but again I haven't played KOTOR 2 since 2005 or whenever it came out.
Although I didn't like how pretty much all of your allies in KOTOR II ended up being Jedi except Mandalore/Canderous and The Droids. I think The Wookie was one either but I never finished my Dark Side playthrough. HK-47 is the fucking best though.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
The lack of catchy radio beats annoyed me in New Vegas. DC's radio was way better.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
I played New Vegas before I played Fallout 3and I think NV is a lot better, the story was better and I liked how there was so many other side quests to do.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
New Vegas is more like FO 1&2 than FO3 is. The main quest is longer and although the world is smaller, its packed to the brim of things to do.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
Ive had New Vegas since day one but i barely go on it. I just haven't got into it as much as i did for Fallout 3. I really need to get back into it.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
If anyone's interested in ARMA II, you can get it for free. http://savygamer.co.uk/2011/07/08/ar...eluxe-pc-free/
BUT DON'T BECAUSE THE SERVERS ARE ALREADY CRUSHED AND I WANT MY ARMA.
Also, I'm inexplicably playing "The Hunter", a free deer hunting game that uses the same engine as Just Cause 2. Shooting pixelly deer is somehow making me feel like more of a monster than shooting pixelly humans.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
I'm enjoying Borderlands quite a bit, but I'm not exactly sure why. The story isn't very interesting, many quests are repetitive, as are the environments, and being a sandbox, it's pretty boring to explore. Many of the textures look like shit if you're within 5 - 10 feet, as well. But still, I'm a big fan of it.
As for New Vegas, I really need to play it. I loved Fallout 3, and my brother even had New Vegas, but I just never played it, and apparently it's gone now. Plan on getting it relatively soon.

Re: General Gaming Discussion
Went back and played the first Bioshock when I woke up today. Made me realise how disappointed I was with the sequel.
