I loved the Metal Gear SIGINT video in MGS3, I thought that was moderately amusing.

I remember first playing the demo of Metal Gear Solid on a demo disc and thinking how awesome it was to sneak around in a cardboard box. It doesn't seem that long ago to me.
Metal Gear Solid 2 I haven't played in a while but I remember the great graphics and the great tanker level with Snake. I hated that it was the only time you played him during the game. I didn't hate Raiden's guts like some people but I thought being able to play as Snake was way cooler. The biggest gripe I had was that the story took so many twists that at times you could have no idea what was going on.
The third I feel took the best of the first two (simple story of MGS 1, Graphics and interaction of MGS2) and put it in the best setting possible which was the jungle. There were also some great boss fights and solved some of the questions of the first two games.
I haven't played the 4th one yet but from what I've read and seen it looks pretty awesome. Too bad I don't have a PS3
