Mother 3 for the N64 was canceled. It was a GBA game.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

I'm playing MGS 1, and I'm about to fight Vulcan Raven with next to no health and zero rations. I don't know what to do.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

Vulcan Raven is a bitch, all you need is some Claymores and maybe a few Nikitas to distract him.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

I've always wanted to play the Twin Snakes remake for the Gamecube since the graphics for the original are horrible and the gameplay could get a little cheap. Everybody always gives high praise for the Psycho Mantis fight but I've always found it overrated. In terms of story its the best of the series.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

The Twin Snakes owns. I beat it recently. Some people don't like it but I prefer it to the original.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

My only complaint about the Twin Snakes port is that 1st person shooting makes the game easier than than it was in the original version. Otherwise I think its an excellent remake and I prefer it.

Plus Grey Fox/The Ninja became extra awesome with the updated cut scenes.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

GRAY... FOX? I loved how they explained the storyline by asking rhetorical questions which didn't need answering but Kojima brought it upon that every question needed a 20 minute answer. I have had quite a nostalgic rush the past few days and for some reason MGS 2 is now my favourite in the series. I'm up to the second vamp fight and loving it. On a side note, has anyone seen Metal Gear Awesome- funny stuff.

Other 'retro' games I have been playing are the Spyro, Crash and Ape Escape series. Crash has got worse with age but Spyro was better than I remember it.

Re: Retro Gaming Discussion

I feel old because I remember when all these "retro" games first came out.

I loved the Metal Gear SIGINT video in MGS3, I thought that was moderately amusing.
