In terms of SNES vs Megadrive (it was called Megadrive, here), I always thought SNES had the edge, especially in terms of graphics. But that didn't mean the Megadrive was lacking - I for some reason enjoyed Megadrive games more then SNES games. I have fond memories of Skitchin', Streets of Rage 2 & 3, Splatterhouse, Lotus, as well as many others.
I'm glad that people still remember - and play - retro games, because while present day games are great, many of them have lost that X factor that was to be found in games released for NES, Master System, SNES or Megadrive.
And then there's my personal favourite - the Amiga 500 computer! Thousands of awesome and original games, beautiful graphics, great sounds. It was truly ahead of its time. I still play with my old Amiga to this day!
