Is there PS2 playback on it? I was hearing that there isn't. I'm getting the 80GB system I think. Think that might be enough space for me. Also, does a PS3 require memory cards or is the game progress saved onto that space? Planning on getting UFC 2010 as my first game and buying FIFA 11 and SVR2011 later on.
PS2 Playback has sadly been removed. No memory cards are needed, the harddrive does that.

Anymore questions just ask.

Re: General Gaming Discussion

Naw it doesn't require memory cards,it saves via internal memory, and i believe the 80GB consoles have backwards compatibility.

It depends on which 80GB unit. The older ones do have software based backwards compatibility for some games. But the newer 80GB and PS3 consoles dont.

Re: General Gaming Discussion

Just Cause 2 bad?!?! GTFO.

It was a nice little solid game from Square I really enjoyed it. Sure the AI can be a bit crappy and the map has too much stuff on it (MASSIVE) but the gameplay is FUN and for the price it is now. Can't go wrong.

Trust me I was pessimistic it'd be as bad as something like Mercenaries 2 but it was good it just lacks a few things like ordering multiple items from the black market or a vast selection of cars after you complete the game from the market to.

Nothing but I never made that suggestion. You made the point that it was free at it's height of popularity which is true, but there was no alternative. If PC gaming was as big as it used to be, you still think it would be free?

It's futile to speculate in all honesty though.

It's pretty amazing. No multiplayer though but tons of fun to be had.

Story is non-existant so if you're into that sort of thing than dont bother, but everything else about the game is buckets of fun. Get it on the PC though.

Re: General Gaming Discussion

Just Cause 2 is a game that pretty much personifies every action cliche ever drawn up.

But that's a good thing. Blowing shit up endlessly is more rewarding than you can imagine. Huge explosions, big guns, endless violence and action as far as the eye can see. It should be bad, but it's absolutely brilliant.

It has to be free. PC gaming is open to anyone that can make games. You can't charge for all PC games. Individual companies could charge but there's no way in hell you'd have the majority do it.

Re: General Gaming Discussion

I meant things like Steam, Gamespy or GFW.

Re: General Gaming Discussion

Why would Steam make you pay for online? They don't host any multiplayer servers. If they did people would just buy the games somewhere else.

They did try to make you pay for GFW games once and it was a complete failure and now you can play them for free.
