Don't. Wait till the NBA games come out, if you want a sports game (or get NHL 11 when that comes out. IDK really anything about that, though). The competition between 2K and EA is supposed to be tougher than it's been in recent years, so they're both bound to improve immensely. EA's doing pretty much a complete overhaul (I think, at least) and 2K is adding several new game modes, improving graphics, and re-doing the ballhandling controls.

Both are going to bring huge improvements, as opposed to Madden, who pretty much just added Gameflow. There's no pressure being put on them from another developer either, so no matter how little they do, people will still buy it since it's their only option. I guess that's why they don't really improve it that much - because they know people will eat it up regardless.

Yeah, the one near me doesn't buy or sell them. Bullshit. I want Knights of the Old Republic, and there is a store near here that sells them, but they price their games based off of the game's popularity, so it'll probably be expensive as fuck.

NBA Jam will own any and all NBA games. That will be the first Basketball game I play since Mario was in NBA Street V3 for the Gamecube. NBA Jam for the Genesis was killer.

I know that one has to pay to play 360 online... but is it true that if you want to play Madden 11 online with a 360 you have to pay for that as well?

LOL i legit feel sorry for 360 users who buy the games used. As if crapping out $50 a month for online play isn't bad enough they have to pay another $10 to get online acess to the game. I'd just buy a shitload of year long gold cards. Spending $50 for year long access is better than $50 a month.

I don't play online but I don't think it's 50 dollars a month is it?

I think you can get like 3 months of online play for 20 bucks or something.

If I did play online I'd refuse to put out another 10 bucks or whatever it is to play Madden online. That's just bullshit and Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves for letting that crap happen.

Xbox Live is $50 for the whole year. I don't play online, but surely, if you're buying games all year, $50 for a year is NOT gonna kill you, right? I'd kill for that kind of subscription to a gym, forget Xbox Live.

And some companies, like THQ and EA, are going the "Buy new if you wanna play online free" route. If you buy used, you're out of luck. I don't buy used nor do I play online so this doesn't really affect me right now, but in time, the companies will use this as a springboard for something far more greedy. I can only imagine what will happen in the future, like "CAN ONLY PLAY IF ONLINE, EVEN FOR SINGLE PLAYER GAMES!" Fuck that.
