Didier Digard is a quality signing as is Guilherme (sp?) and Henri Saivet.

I've just started the 'No Anelka' Bolton challenge. I'm taking on a couple of friends in it. We're each doing a game with Bolton, in which we play as Bolton and cannot make any transfers in or play Anelka in ANY matches, which leaves a reasonably pitiful striking depth. Whoever finishes with the most points after one season wins. Brilliant thing about this challenge is its all about tactics as with transfers the game is too easy. The only shame is if Diouf or Helguson gets injured for one of us, it's all over.

I've just started. My two first choice line-ups are as follows:

GK - Jussi

DR - Hunt
DL - Samuel
DC(R) - Meite
DC(L) - Michalik

DM - McCann (with a farrow)
MC(R) - Nolan (with a farrow)
MC(L) - Andranik Teymourian
AMR - Wilhelmsson
AML - Diouf

ST - Helguson

The more attacking second:

GK - Jussi

DR - Hunt
DL - Samuel
DC(R) - Meite
DC(L) - Michalik

MC(R) - Nolan
MC(L) - Andranik/McCann
AMR - Wilhelmsson (sometimes MR with farrow)
AML - Diouf (sometimes ML with farrow)

ST - Helguson
ST - Braaten

In both cases Giannakopolous is a good super-sub, as is Braaten in the first line-up. Helguson is a great target man too. If only he had better 'off the ball'. Diouf and Nolan are quite easily my best players and have both impressed a lot in pre-season averaging combined goals and assists per game. I'm predicting that I come about 6th on 60+ points.

Im about to play my first Premiership Game against Fulham.
I should get a win, but who knows? Shocks happen.

I once lost to Huddersfield in the League Cup 2nd round. I was Liverpool

Anything can happen on FM lol.

I once was Barcelona and fielded my strongest 11 in a friendly against Vallacano who are in like Spain's 3rd division and drew 0-0.

Then I blitzed Real in the Super Cup 5-2 so hey, FM08 is random tbh.

Finished my Inter season last night and like Reney i walked threw it. Ibrahamovic is an absolute beast in front of goal. He was out for a total of 3 months in the whole season and still netted 54 goals with 43 coming in the league.

Won the league by 10 points over AC Milan and only lost 4 league games with 7 draws leavnig me with 27 league wins. Not as good as Reney but you know, i was overly happy. Also won the Champions League final very easily defeating Chelsea by 3 goals to 1 and i was up 3-0. That was without Ibrahamovic. Other outstander performers for me was Adriano was sent back from loan after the season finished over in Brazil. He was able to win world player of the year, not very realistic but what the heck.

Adriano kept up his form with me scoring 2 in the final and scoring a total of 25 goals in all competitions from January onwards and at the start he wasn't getting a game because of my formation. The Italian Cup i won as i defeated Juventus by 3-0 goals to now and once again thanks to an Injury for Ibrahamovic i was missing him but Adriano stepped up with a hatrick to my delight.

Also like Reney has said, the other top sides in Italy and thats with Palermo included seem to have some amount of money to spend. The most noticable being Diego from Werder Bremen and Huntelaar moving to Palermo. I was stunned if i am honest.

Second season will probably be harder as the old players get another year older sadly!

Well I just lost too Fulham thanks to a John Terry Own Goal :/
Also Nicolas Anelka was injured on the 17th Minute.
So everything went wrong in that match.

My most shameful loss came in the game I'm currently in.

I had to face Panathinaikos with Anderlecht in the 1/8th finals of the UEFA Cup.

First game at home I won 5-1 and I thought to myself, yes, quarter finals, here I come.

Then I lost in Greece 7-2.

Has anyone ever had a game where everything just clicked? I was 20th out of 24 in BSP and I was facing the team who were placed 19th, demolished them 5-0. Absolutely amazing performance with a hat trick from my star man who hadn't performed in the last 5 games.

In my current Arsenal game I had a match against Barcelona in the UEFA Cup Semi Finals 1st leg at the Emirates. In 2 minutes Adebayor blasted one home, then 10 mins later he got another. Rosicky took a corner and Toure headed it in to make it 3-0 by 26 mins. on 30 mins Ronaldinho went off injured and then a few minutes before half-time Eduardo scored to make it 4-0. I didn't think I had ever had a better game, with their star man being injured and us going 4-0 up. After half time Per Ciljan Skeljbred (sp?) scored another, and Frey conceded one thanks to a Bojan strike. I Lol'ed at beating Barca 5-1.
