Re: **Official Football Manager Thread**
Just got England to Euro 2008 after beating Croatia 3-1 in a must win game on the last day of qualifying. Dean Ashton is brilliant for me in a 4-2-3-1 system.
The only problem is I've been told I need to get to the quarter finals, and I've been drawn in a group with Sweden, Holland and Germany.

All I can say is good look qualifying.
I managed to beat Holland in the quarter finals on one of my games.
I got a 2-1 win, so you could do it.
You should finish Second with Germany 1st Holland 3rd and Sweden 4th.
Good luck mate.

Re: **Official Football Manager Thread**
Cheers for that.
In the end I beat Germany and Holland and lost to Sweden Beat Croatia in the next round, then lost on penalties to Spain in the Semis.
Been offered Liverpool job now, which obviously as a United fan means its tempting to destroy the club, but I won't. Still England manager too.

Well you did well, i'm suprised you managed to beat Germany and Holland, yet you lost to Sweden.
Good luck at Liverpool you should be able to win the Champions League with them, possibly the premier league aswell.

Playing '07 as both Melbourne Victory and Crystal Palace. Both have a shiite financial backing, so I haven't be able to score anything on the transfer market. Any cheap gems, anyone?

Re: **Official Football Manager Thread**
I went in a season with Arsenal. Now in my fourth season. Been to a CL Final in all 4 and won three of them. Finished second in the league first season but have won the title 3 times in a row now. First season Chelsea ran away with it. The three seasons i won it, it has always went down too the last day but last season i was playing a team who were already relegated at the emirates and Chelsea were away to United so it was pretty much save.
I haven't spent alot of money in four years as i know all the young talent and have managed to bring them all in and i must say this. I have won all of this with my average age being for each year, 22,21,22,20. Which i believe is very good. Also, i've won all the carling cups their is too win playing my reserve team but am yet too win the Fa Cup. Surprisingly. Also won the Euro Cup and World Club Championships every time i have been in it
