Feel like I'm missing out on so much by playing FMC but I really just don't have the time to play normal FM. It'd be perfect for me if they just incorporated the "Instant Result" feature into normal FM, would save me hours!

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
Onto my 3rd season with Newcastle. Jubilant successes, despite the occasional dodgy game & moment.
Team resembles
Krul
Carvajal, Benatia, S. Taylor, Santon
M'Vila
Tiote, Cabaye
ben Arfa, Cisse, Vuckic
Got players like Douglas, Okore, Anita, Guidetti, Merkel, Streete, Marveaux on the bench as backups. A solid side, but does lack that special something.
Successes are, won the Europa League title back to back, FA Cup in the 2nd year and the European Super Cup. Finished 7th the first year round, problems at the start & end of the year. Finished 4th 2nd time around. Felt excellent, that fixture pile-up was pretty gruesome. To secure 2 trophies & the Champions League in the space of 6 days.
Onwards I roll. Will probably keep very strictly to generated players & freebies. No esstential need, but makes it more challenging.

I think the instant result would take most of the fun out of the game. Nothing better than when you bring on 2 subs with 10 minutes to go and they completely turn the game around, or you score against a massive team to make it 1-0 with 10 minutes to go and you tinker to get yourself 100% defensive and end up scoring on the break.
I've not got 2013 yet. I got a giftcard for HMV that I'll probably use it for, but wondering how long I can wait for it to drop in price. I really want it but I have a busy few weeks so I don't think it would be worth buying yet.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
Haven't played in quite a while but usually start a new game after the Jan transfer window closes, so looking forward to that. Hopefully West Ham make some solid signings this month to refresh the game for me.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
into my next season with Genoa, team is looking good...
GK: Frey, Perin
FB: Rafinha, Schelotto, Criscito, Antonelli
CB: Kjaer, Bocchetti, Zapata, Capuano, Granqvist, Chivu
CM: Defour, Veloso, Kucka, Mati Fernandez, Mariga, Bertolacci
WG: Barnetta, A. Gomez, Vargas, Rosina, Lazovic
ST: Pazzini, G. Rossi, Chucho Benitez, Borriello
got Tadic and Rui Patricio joining at seasons end, and Leandro Damiao in 2015. Making DAT CASH with a massive clear out of reserve players etc, plus placing third and beaing Ajax to qualify for the CL, and winning the Copa Italia.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
Had Defour come in at Newcastle on loan for the year. Wasn't too pleased with his performances. Did the occasional good job on the right central mid, but anyone gets assists there. If you've got good funds, grab Darmash. Immense player. Suffered injuries for me, though, lost out on a bit of his PA.
Won the Premier League with Newcastle, 3rd season. Bumpy start, but that was to expected with facing the top 6 in away games the first round. Second half of the season, just beat City, Spurs, Liverpool, United at St. James, and the title would, almost be mine.
Yet to play through the transfer period yet, but got Coutinho on a freebie. Team resembles.
Keepers: Krul
Defenders: Carvajal, Anita, Douglas, S. Taylor, R. Taylor, Ivanovic, Santon, Benatia, Streete, Okore
Midfielders: MVilla, Garmash, Tiote, Cabaye, Birgsomething, A. Merkel, 2 gens
Forwards(&wingers): HBA, Marveaux, Coutinho, Vuckic, 2 gens, Cisse, Guidetti.
Think its still a soft side. Way, wayyy too weak on set pieces. Krul, M'Vila are just immense, though. Cisse, Tiote & Cabaye also getting better & better despite being past 25.
