the other features are good. classic mode is fun, challenge mode is interesting, stuff like director of football is a welcome addition.

it's just the fucking match engine. it's not meant to be so out of balance. i get the odd shock result, the lose 3-0 at home to the bottom team, that's football. but to go spells at home where you consistently lose to the bottom teams, then beat the top teams away? that's not fun, that's fucked.

also phil bardsley is a whinging, moaning twat and clattermole is the biggest liability i've ever managed. had to bring mariga in on loan just to cover for when he gets a red card.

There is the occasional game where I get destroyed on the counter by a random, fast player. But it isn't common. Usually keep the possession too well for it to happen. Even against Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund. Have you tried different set-ups to face the teams that usually catch you off guard? Deep d-line, narrow the width, defensive fullbacks and 2 destroyers in midfield? Not all at once. Rarely bested by lesser teams using these.

Got to throw recommendations around. Valentino Larazo (RB Salzburg), maybe its the pace and the dribbling together, but the guy is a beast. Excellent link up play in a 4-2-3-1. Darren Petrie (Dundee United), pacy deep lying playmaker. The type of player and role I always try to go for. Barrie McKay (Rangers), goes into a few roles very well. Hes been good in the game for a few years but Thorgan Hazard (Chelsea). Would have a few more if I wasn't into regen territory with Rangers.

i've gotten to the stage where im saving before games, waiting for the ridiculous result, then changing my tactics and trying again. there seems to be no difference. i set marking to the midfield, crowd the midfield with cattermole/vaughan/sess/johnson in a 4-4-2 flat, my players are nowhere to be seen and the opponents are just allowed as much time on the ball as they want. i play a deep line because cuellar and bramble are pretty slow, but have good marking stats. a shame that marking becomes non existent whenever an opposition player is near by. i had vs qpr a ball played long, cuellar goes near it, suddenly stops for no reason, ball goes past him, cisse gets onto it and makes it 2-2. ridiculous. my fullbacks of masilela and o'shea are good enough to contain the likes of a park ji sung or nathan dyer, but constantly get torn to shreds, even with man marking and a defensive setting. it just makes no sense. im tinkering all the time with my tactics, not drastically, but enough to where you should see changes in games. you don't. it just continues to be the same, an error riddled, mistake laden performance, every single time.

Playing in the SPL probably covers why I haven't come across it so often. With the team Sunderland have though, doesn't make matters any easier. Has to be the slowest defence in the league, midfield that can't pass the ball around very well, and Steven Fletcher underrated. Do see how its a game issue, since a few people I know have complained about it when doing the Premier League.

Has SI given out some any news about incoming updates? Can't be too long, they don't want bad ratings for the Christmas sales.

A player I forgot to recommend was Romaric N'Gouma from Lyon. Not the best technical stats, but train him wisely and he is a physical beast.

What do you do with match prep i've stated before that fm12 had a nailed on system using teamwork/attacking movement and that pretty much worked for me with every team.

And yeah the little time i played on the beta i changed my tacs nearly every game with united ffs because of silly stuff, from team instructions to shouts and formations etc.

Right copy finally arrived and i know some people have had trouble with installing the full game. What would anyone reccomend just activate code through steam or uninstall beta if needed and re-install with disc.

I play him as a poacher and he has a goal every game, Rooney isn't scoring at all though.
