just untick valid_transfers_only in the game files before starting a new game and there's a lot more takeovers (not necessarily tycoon, still very rare) and it mainly happens to smaller clubs. stll can be fun to takeover a team that has been taken over by a tycoon.

I'm on my second season with Reading and have moved up to the Premiership, I signed Branescu from Juve and I got a message about having to apply for a work permit. Romania is an EU country so am I forgetting a new British law or has the game bugged?

i have a save with my Atletico Madrid side that got a tycoon takeover. Got an insane amount of money first window but my 2 best signings were frees (Gotze and Robben )

I don't think it's that as I've signed a few European youth players, although they all came from English teams.

I love this game, sign Bonucci from Juve who's trans listed in August 2011 for 2.5m, sell him in Aug 2013 for 20m

Got Viviano from Inter as backup GK to Frey and sure he'll surpass as first choice next season, Barzagli in place of Bonucci only cost me 4.3m tho he is 32 still quality, Muntari to Juve for 5.75m and Annan in as a replacement for 475k.

Got a massive transfer budget after winning Serie A and somehow winning the UCL despite being favs to finish bottom of my group. Going after Leandro Damiao and Giuseppe Rossi as Gilardino and Borriello are both 31.

£20m for Bonucci seems a bit wild. Didn't imagine his PA being high enough to warrant £10m+ moves. Had a similar situation with Vertonghen, though. Bought for around £8m, sold to Real Madrid for £25-28m 4 years later.

One of the best experiences on the game is definately to snap up players cheap and sell them off at prices above 100% of what you paid.

serie a annoys me with their non eu rule, liga is kinda annoying too but 4 is much more tolerable. playing a game as malaga, signed saul (1.4 mil), salva ruiz (1.2 mil), VALERO (11.75 mil), hamsik (30 mil), vrsaljko (1 mil), ogbonna (5.5 mil), del piero (free) and wellington nem (3..5 mil), sold julio baptista (13.75 mil) and shipped off duda, eliseu, fernandez and ruben for loans with options to buy. had to leave bounanotte out of my squad (don't rate him, but can't sell him as he's only just joined). beat celta and granada, as well as kobenhavn to get into the champions league group stages (in a group with chelsea, shakhtar and celtic). squad is as follows (starters in bold) in a 4-5-1:

Halfway through the second season with Everton using LFC Marshalls updated database.

Doing pretty well, finished 5th in the table first year and won the Carling Cup. Signings in the first season were.

Steven Fletcher - 5 Million

Fletcher was an absolute god for 5 million, basically has scored a goal a game for the entire time I have had him, also scored 7 in one PL match against Reading. Pranjic was also phenomenal, scores a fair few and had about 20 assists last season. Bouhlarouz was good as cover for Heitinga and Jegielka and can play right back well and Robinbson was only a short term job as I sold Leighton Baines to United for 11 million.
