Yeah, Barry had a terrible season in-game though, and Parker was coming in the top three for player of the month quite a bit. Stewart Downing is horrible in real life, but he still made my England team

Update: Final game of the warm-ups was a 7-1 win over Belgium. Things are looking promising for a successful Euro campaign

also play players in their preferred 'style' so to speak. so at right back, micah as wing back support, or aguero as a trequartista attack. it helps a lot more, especially if you have aguero playing as something like a target man or something where they just wont fit.

Yeah I just figured that out in my previous game That's probably one of the reasons I was doing horribly. I tend to pick one formation and pick my players based of who fits each position.

EDIT: First game was a 2-2 draw with Portugal, both their goals coming from set pieces. Ashley Young scored twice for me, with Jack Wilshere getting both assists. Ryan Shawcross had a great game too.

Update: 2-0 over Scotland, with Ashley Young and Gabby Agbonhalor scoring the goals. A draw or win against Netherlands would get me through to the quarter finals, and a loss would probably knock me out (assuming Portugal beat Scotland..)

Update: Woo Hoo! Destroyed Netherlands 4-0 with goals from Darren Bent, James Milner, John Terry and Steven Gerrard, so I top the group with Portugal in 2nd. Here are the other groups (if anyone cares...)

Turkey
Belarus

Ukraine
Russia

France
Germany

Italy
Poland

England
Portugal

Netherlands
Scotland

Spain
Sweden

Norway
Croatia

So i've drawn Sweden in the quarter finals Germany beat Turkey 1-0, Spain beat Portugal 3-0 and France beat Belarus on penalties.

Update: Beat Sweden 6-1 with Darren Bent scoring 4, and Terry and Gerrard getting one each. I have France in the semis, which is very winnable. Germany beat Spain 1-0.

Update: Lost to France 2-1... Gotta look towards the Olympic Games now!

Germany beat France 4-1, Darren Bent wins the Golden Boot (5), Ashley Young won the Player of the Tournament, and John Terry, Micah Richards, Ashley Young, James Milner and Darren Bent make the Team of the Tournament.

Formation wise I usually use this

--------------GK----------------
----RB-----CB---CB------LB------
----------CM/DM--CM/DM----------
--AR----------------------AL----
----------ST-----ST-------------

Or depending on the team I'll move a striker back into AMC role.

No shit.

I brought Barkley for 6.5mil the second summer in the job, he's been a first team player literally ever since and is rated at about 30mil.

On my game, I now have a club value of 1.5bil. Transfer budget is 389mil and wage budget is 3.8mil and I'm spending 1.2mil or there and there abouts.

For the last five seasons especially, I concentrate on buying players young and offloading them when developed, for a big profit.

For example, I brought a guy for 6mil and sold him for 20mil plus a load of add-ons a couple of years later after a long injury in the season beforehand.

On the other end of the spectrum, I brought a guy from Charlton for 1mil and he's now rated at 20mil+ and is amazing.

The other thing I tend to do is move players on when they get older. Did it to all the stars just as they were exiting their peak. Few of them are back now. My coaching staff includes Baldini, Xavi, Ferdinand, Scholes, Vidic and RVN as coaches. Xavi has ridiculous stats and teams have been sniffing around him as manager of their clubs.

Oh, I should have put Scholes and Carrick in the National Pool. I completely forgot about them.

bit easy.

4th premier league title in a row, won the league cup, in the semi's for the fa cup and the quarters for the champions league. kun is a beast. so is wilshere. across the league, reserves and u/18's i've lost 1 game, and that's in the reserves. the most goals conceeded in any of those 3 is 7 (in the league, 5 each in the reserves and u/18's.) future is good.

my england save 23 man squad I took to Brazil for the 2014 world cup is very different to who I took to the euros:

GK: Hart, Steele, Carson

DEF: Jones, Shawcross, Caulker, Jagilkea, Robinson, Baines, Smalling, Walker

MID: Lennon, Ox, Lampard, Rodwell, Young, Whilshere, Gerrard, Cleverly

ATT: Agbonlahor, Walcott, Rodriguez, Wickham

Picked up injures to Welbeck, Rooney and A Cole just before the Euros so they missed out. I either play a 4-4-2 diamond against the weaker teams or 4-2-3-1 against teams better then me. Last time I played it this squad was in the semis vs Germany after I beat Spain 3-2. But Walcott who is top scorer so far in the world cup is out for the rest of it as well as Robinson and Whilshere missing the next game through suspension.

Who are people favorite international teams to play as? My favorite teams while playing this game have been Belguim, England, Slovakia and Canada

I'm playing as the New England Revolution in the MLS now. It's a blast! For anyone who's never played in the Major League Soccer, I definitely recommend it, it's amazingly fun.
