Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

Just got Truro City promoted up to League 1, almost finished the pre-season friendlies (also known as whoring out my team's credibility in exchange for the most money possible). Actually beat Tottenham and Fulham in them, couldn't believe it, even though neither side was playing a good team. Still, best result in the history of the club probably.

The club is horribly in debt though, I'm probably in the top 10 financially poor clubs in England. BUT, hopefully my new friend will help me out...

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

Took over Norwich on January 1st, 2012, 11 points off safety at the bottom of the table, mid-March I'm 18th, a point behind Newcastle with a game in hand. Once the season's over whether I go down or not I'm just gonna pick any old random non-league team and try to take them as far as I can.

Fucking awesome match! It had everything: Chris Smalling equalizing in the 95th minute, even though there was only 3 minutes added on, and then getting sent off and giving away a penalty.

Lost to Spain 3-2 in the final though. Bloody Rooney getting sent off 15 minutes in. Oh well, silver medal in the Olympics ain't bad.

Looks like the ref tried to ruin the game with all those cards! Interestingly when I managed the Brazil u-23's Rooney got sent off when I played England also...

Rooney was probably mad that I said I wasn't impressed by him earlier in the season. Lololol.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

Thought I'd spice up my managerial career a little bit, so I've taken up managing Papua New Guinea on the side, whilst keeping my main focus on Truro City. Ranked 198th in the world, the only way is up I'd say. Going to lead them to glory.

Oh Anfield, holds a special place in the heart of us Rovers fans.

They were top too at the time. Getting back into this game now. Started the season off shit but now on a 12 match unbeaten run in the league with this, a 0-0 at Old Trafford, 0-0 at home to City and a criminal 1-1 draw with Arsenal at Ewood. There's been too many draws, especially in games that I should win. It took Chamakh & Bendtner a while to settle in and get some goals but we're getting there. Chamakh's first was one of four against United in a 5-0 win in the League Cup!

I'm sitting in 11th with 27 points from 20 games, but in the semi final of the League Cup and last 32 of the Europa League.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

My New Aston Villa save is interesting. Have Losses to Swansea, Blackburn & Fulham amongst other crap teams but just went on a run with a 6-0 Wolves, 1-0 Chelsea & 1-0 Liverpool win. Sitting 7th atm. Warnock & Cuellar complained about game time so I've sent them to Reserves and Transfer Listed them. Picked up a few for the Jan window. Looking forward to seeing how the season will continue. Heskey has been useless though. Hasn't scored at all.
