Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
that shit happens all the time, same as getting called a tinkerer/tactical genius when you don't change anything.

I had a similar come back with AC against Inter, I'll try and dig out the screen shot and post it on here at some point.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
Well, I got the game yesterday and my Arsenal game is going awesome. Highlights so far include 7-0 win over Anderlecht and a 5-0 win against Standard Liege. My only loss of the season so far was 2-1 against Manchester City. My squad is kind of weak at the moment with a lot of injuries and stuff, but my tactics seem to be working brilliantly. Here's mah starting team normally:
-Szczesny-
-Jenkinson---Vertonghen---Koscielny---Andre Santos-
-Oxlade-Chamberlain---Song---Arteta---Rosicky-
-Van Persie---Walcott/Podolski-

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
fuck yeah. Came down to the last day of the season, i was 2 ahead of United before the day started. Had some crushing defeats gainst United and City iirc but i was very consistant in beating the lower sides. Going to be clearing out a lot of players at the end of this year. Had about 4 or 5 guys complaining about game time who's wages are too high to bother keeping and are too shit to rotate in
Have a lot of young players who i hope can develop, got 2 great wingers out on loan to get work permits and when they come back i'll have di maria, hoilett, sturridge, plus some others i'm forgetting to try and fit in. Good problem to have though. At this stage i'm just hoping to finish top 4 again and hopefully get out of my group in the CL.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
Went with Velez Sarsfield in Argentina. They were my feeder club with Paris St-Germain, so had a little bit more of a connection with them than the rest. They eventually had a Sugar Daddy, came the 3rd biggest team in the world and had Lionel Messi as a manager for a few months on that file. All that happened around 2027, mind.
First season, consistent, but not an excellent season. Double 4th finish in the two league standings, 3rd overall, loss in the finals of the Sudamericana to Flamengo of Brazil and a Last 16 knockout by Chivas of Mexico (Erick Torres/Carlos Fierro).
Second season about to start, got in some excellent newgens. 4 players of 4 & 1/2 star quality or above. One is dubbed the next 'Esteban Cambiasso', another 'Martin Demichellis'. Got 5 on 4 star quality. So, future is already set nicely. Need to break even on debts, and improve the youth facilities since they degraded slightly. On course for a fun file. Hopefully will get the Argentina job sooner than later.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
No Messi, at Molineux but fuck yeah i'll take it.
The main reason i played no striker is that my 3 strikers (Sturridge, Fletcher and a regen) are all injured, and 2 of my reserves/under 18's aren't qualified to play CL

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
^That is ridiculous, well played^
Here's my classic 5-4 games between Inter and AC, was 4-0 down at one point before bringing it back to 5-4

No better feeling than coming from behind to win IMO.
