need a new fm game, thinking of going as someone like fulham and building them up

Is this game worth the buy? I've never really played any proper manager games (iv'e played FMH 2012 and I keep getting fired ) and I was wondering if it's easy to understand and get used to. I don't really know a lot about scouting/agents/tactics and all that stuff, so would buying it be pointless?

It's a great game but at times it can be infuriating (And I mean an utter pisstake) - it's cheap enough now to buy so I say sure why not - you'll get plenty of hours out of it

Football Manager 2010 - 454 hours

Football Manager 2011 - 872 hours

Football Manager 2012 - 367 hours

Sure a lot of it is just me leaving it on but it's well worth it. If you can get everything working, like a balance in tactics, players, luck etc

yeah i have 371 hours played on FM12. and yeah there is a lot of that with me leaving it on when i'm doing other things but for the price it provides a lot of value for money.

Got 650 hours dialed up. About 30 minutes max spent AFK.

Won the treble (League Cup, CL, Prem) with Eastleigh in my 9th season. Done with that, onto something fresh and new. Think I've done most challenging things through Europe, so going to head to another continent.

Chosen River Plate in Argentina's second league. Good facilities and a nice 'fix them' job. Should have fun with this.

so this is my first full season in charge of Wolves and as you can see its going pretty damn well. Mostly bought regens last window and i have 2 that just came in this window. One is a keeper who is being dubbed the next Buffon to sit in 3rd behind Krul and a regen who has struggled to settle in which i'm unhappy about considering his potential. If he settles he'll be my number 1 keeper for awhile. The other regen i have coming in is a midfielder that i missed out on last window for a million, and cost me 6 mil to buy this window. He had a lot of potential though and should be getting a fair bit of game time towards the end of this season as i've played ben arfa in too many games.

I'll be hoping the side doesn't tail off in the next 18 games, but i'll settle for making the CL i suppose. Squad is going great atm, last 3 games a total of 15 for, 2 against is pretty great. My tactics are pretty basic as i think i mentioned earlier. 4-2-3-1, high tempo, direct game with my wingers being pretty pacy, Fletcher up front on his own and ben arfa as a trequartista in at AMC. Playmaker sits in behind with Allen as a ball winning mid. Fullbacks are set with a wing back + support setting iirc, centre backs are just standard.

fun fact. ozil hasnt made a single appearance in the champions league for me. he's cup tied to madrid.
