Also added Gaz Mardan 'keeper, been a steal, very solid. Their team was a bit gash at the start, though. Lack of quality depth. Had to wait for tactical fluidity, since I avoid winter signings.
LOL Gaz Mardan. It's Gaz Metan. I've played almost 5 seasons with CFR Cluj, winning the title 3 or 4 times I think, been in the Champions League groups with them, almost pulled of a huge upset away against Real Madrid and the majority of my team consists of Romanian players I bought from other Romanian teams for less than 1.5 million (each) and most of them have been called up for the national team. If you want any tips on players you should buy from Romanian teams, message me.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

Sorry about the typo there. All I could remember was the 'Gaz' bit.

Incredible 2013. Big steps. Unbeaten in the league to up to 46 games, tricky trips to Croatia and Poland to qualify for the Champions League, then finished third, up against Bayern Munich (3-0 defeat, 2-2 draw), AC Milan (4-2 defeat, 1-0 defeat), and AZ (3-2 win, 2-2 draw). First win in the group stages, was a nice moment, despite it being just AZ. Europa League beckons, game against Copenhagen, followed with a trip to Newcastle or Dortmund. AC Milan game where I lost 1-0, definately a 'screwed' moment. They got a very, very suspicious penalty in the dying moments. Oh well.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

Just started a save with Arsenal.. Signed Gotze and have sold a few like Arshavin & Rosicky. Gotze scored 4 against Udinese in the UCL Qualifiers and beat Tottenham 6-1 with goalscorers like Park, Coquelin & Chamakh.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

Zooming through the game too fast at the moment. Addictive.

Won my third domestic double in Romania consecutively, thought it was time for some newer pastures. Headed to Ukraine, Shakhtar head coach had retired, so thought it was the ideal job. First season targets, dominate domestically, get the double and build my own team. I think I far exceeded the expectations, especially in the Champions League. But, I did benefit from an exceptionally easy run. Finished top of the group against Manchester United, Panathinaikos and Maccafi Haifa. First round knockout game was against Athletic Bilbao. Tricky away game, ended 1-1, followed by a rout in Donestsk. 4-1 on aggerate. Quarter finals, Manchester City. Went over them pretty easily, only troubles I had were when the players fitness began to take a bit of a knock, easily covered with some substitutions to run the games off. Semi finals, against, surprise, Bursaspor of Turkey. 4-3 loss away, followed by a quiet 2-0 win at home to win 5-4 on aggerate. Champions League final, 3-0 victory over Barcelona. Absolutely no fight from them at all. They were just overpowered.

4 seasons done, 4 league titles, 4 national cups, and a European run that has gone from getting gutted by Shakhtar, Lille and Barcelona in my first season, to taking over at Shakhtar, and gutting Barcelona as my revenge. I'm sure there is a story in there, somewhere.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

If anyone is interested, the update is out now through Steam. I haven't finished downloading it yet but I hope Zaha gets a decent upgrade.
