Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

I had no intention of continuing my United game after about a season, I normally start a game with most teams after all, but I enjoy crafting a team season after season.

For example, I just sold Evra and Young and looking to offload Rio and maybe even Rooney as the other youngsters develop.

I made a series of bids, as high as 25mil, that was rejected as a final offer, he states he was unhappy and Spurs came back offering me him for 18mil a week later.
I had that happen with Connor Wickham as Liverpool, Sunderland gave me a stupidly high price which I rejected then a week later he's unhappy and they offer him to me for a reasonable price.

Barkley and Thiago both look like very good deals at their prices for Emp, as well as Bale obviously. I'll probably look at Thiago at the end of this season. Rooney has been great in the AM role, but Morrison isn't going to make the cut, and that leaves only Cleverly as backup.
I'm using Anderson as a BWM too, I was priced out of buying Thiago so I bought his brother Rafinha who's only half a star less potential for way less money.

Cleverly has been bossing it anyway. Rooney out injured for a few CL games, and Cleverly has been MOTM in all of them. He seems to work perfectly in my system.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

I've had Vidic, Rooney, Valencia all out for a couple of months and still dominating.

Not sure Rooney would automatically get back in my team, same for the other two.

Team I prefer at the moment with the injuries, though, I am rotating a lot lately;

De Gea

Rafael
Jones
Smalling
Esteve

Barkley
Thiago

Welbeck
Cleverley
Bale

Hernandez (35 in 27 or something ridiculous)

That leaves Vidic, Rooney and Valencia who are just returning from injury, Nani on the bench and a few youngsters dotted around. Ferdinand and Giggs out of the 18 unless there are major injuries, Giggs been getting a lot of games lately but is retiring at end of season, Rio's been injured and I'm looking to let him go in the summer. Got a load of good options in defence.

Ashley Young is bitching about his lack of game time, but he plays rubbish whenever I use him. Might get rid in January if anybody bids (probably won't). Can't get rid of BEBE either; best I could do there was a loan to Watford.

Incomplete/incorrect records bug me to the point where I'll edit them before I start a game. Especially if it is in regards to a big team. I'm a stat nerd like that.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

I'm starting to get dangerously addicted to this game. I've not bought any FM game since 2008, loving it. This season's going great too.

I don't know how I didn't win at Burnley or Marseille. I dominated both games, and Zenit away, De Gea screwed up to gift them an equaliser. Ter Stegen's number one now, stupid Spanish bell end.

I'm owning it at home in the league, averaging over 5 a game from 5. It's all about the rotation this season. Cleverley & Welback have stepped it up big time and I got the chance to sign Muniain on loan.

Good to see Rovers doing well, not under Kean but Mick McCarthy!

Also, found this amusing:
