How has Jonathan Parr done for you? He's certainly Prem level on FM after a few years but I'm surprised that you've signed him for United although Palace have a handful of players who can become decent.

Saw the ter-stegen love a page back, he's a beast for me in my Leverkusen save and fucking cheap. Gladbach got relegated so i snapped him up for a bit over 4 mil.

I've only played one pre-season game so far, 5-2 win at Preston but I started him at left back. Rating was 6.9, was League One Player of the Year with some great stats but he's a back up, that's it. Aly Cissokho is amazing at left back.

He was shit in his only game so far for me, that Preston one mentioned above, dropping two clangers that led to both goals. Disappointed!

Almost lost to Fiorentina in the CL 4-0, when I decided to play ter Stegen. Recovered at home, and won 7-0. Lost in the next round to Manchester United though, after 3 red cards spread over 2 games, 3 injuries and some other shit. Wasn't too bad of a result, but was always going to lose with the squad depth running thin.

Did get an unbeaten season in the league campaign, 108 points, 35 wins and 3 draws.

Been 3 years since my last squad re-build, think its time for another. Need to add depth to my defense, each player has played 45+ games for 4 seasons consecutively. Add in some fresh blood, and all is good. Sold ter Stegen to Reading for £13million, bought a replacement from Lyon for £11m (solid regen). Going to replace Doumbia, since hes 30 now. He has scored 162 goals in 133 league games, so a massive void. Do like to cash in on players before their expiration date kicks in, though. Next may be Kagawa, hes stalled massively since he broke his leg vs Dortmund (bastards tried to get revenge, for sure). Do believe I can get £35million out a player that cost me £0. Perhaps time to sever those Japanese ties, since I also pay Okawa in Japan £2.52million a year, and I am not exactly sure how they benefit me, despite making a £33million alone in merchandising. They should make some more detailed fianancial reports.

There's been a real lack of godly regens in the game so far for me. I know others elsewhere have complained about regens being too good but I'm 5 years in and there isn't a single team that is led by a regen (apart from mine) as most just stick to their older players until they retire. I think for next year SI need to work on how other teams build for the future instead of buying 35 year old Xabi Alonsos or Artetas, for example.

You ain't afraid to sell nige, some cracking signings aswell like neymar, hummels, rodwell, labyad (class little player), ayew, van der wiel, cissokho and moussa sissoko.

Hernandez is a goal machine and valencia is a monster for assists.

Gave in and started a United game too. Only a couple of games in, and Nani is giving me the shits. He shoots from EVERYWHERE.

Also, Pogba, in just his third appearance, scored the winner at Lille in my first CL game, which was nice. He's been good so far (helps when I've won every game thus far), but his dribbling stat is awful. Need to work on him, but he, along with Jones, Smalling, Rafael and Rodwell (who I bought, but is currently injured) should be able to be the base of the team in their positions for a long time to come. Jones is especially beastly, and with Smalling around, Rio has only appeared once so far off the bench.

Thinking long-term, next few signings will hopefully be Labayd on a free, and Gotze next summer. Team is well-rounded apart from that left wing spot really, as I have no real alternative to Young. I've got 9mil and 400k worth of wages free, so I'll hopefully try to pick up some quality regens from Germany, France and Italy in March too.

True dat. Getting rid of Evra & Vidic at 30 for £20m each was good business. Jones & Smalling were outperforming Vidic in the second season. He was good in the first year but he kept ballsing up and despite warnings & chats, he kept on making them so I decided to get rid. Smalling then went on to play well at right back so I brought in Hummels with Rio now 34.

I've got a really good young squad that'll do well for a long time and I've finally got my formation sorted.

De Gea

Smalling - Jones - Hummels - Cissokho

Labyad - Sissoko

Valencia - Rooney - Neymar

Hernandez

Doumbia (4-5 weeks), Deulofeu (3-4 weeks), Kagawa (3-4 months) and Pastore (4-5 months) on the injuries list. Time for the youngsters to step up. Bit lucky I added a little bit of depth to the squad. Was doing alright for a few weeks without Pastore and Kagawa, but Doumbia missing is a massive blow. He was absolutely on fire, and I got the feeling it will be his last good run of form, since once hes back from injury, hes 31. Did decide to keep him, and completely worth it. But Kagawa will be going in the summer. Hes been unlucky with injuries since that goal in the Champions League final vs Chelsea.

Upside is while my attacking players are plagued with injuries, my defense is like the Iron Curtain. Someday, it'll go down. But for now, stands strong.
