Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

Some cracking results nige and your team looks strong, could you post a screeny of your transfers?

Also hernandez is a monster. And loved how you had equal possesion vs chelsea and still dicked them 6-0 and city had more and you won 4-1.

He was a free agent and responded to my ad for a coach, pimped himself for the job and was hired. Fans hate him for expressing interest in his current job...

De Gea

Rafael
Jones
Vidic
Evra

Barkley
Thiago

Welbeck
Rooney
Valencia

Hernandez

That's my team at the start of the 3rd season. Won the title twice in a row, lost in QF of CL two seasons in a row, not won a Domestic Cup except The Shield yet.

Got a really strong, but young side. Got rid of the experience. Young, Nani, Smalling, Ferdinand all on the bench at the moment, as well as Cleverley, Crammond (academy graduate) and Beschgi (sp?).

Jones is fucking amazing on this game, developed into a hell of a player. Crammond is barely 17 and already seen as a good player for most PL sides.

I treated Carrick in appalling fashion. He's in the reserves and I'm disciplining him for anything I can think of and he still wants to come off the transfer list.

The tit.

How much did Barkley cost? Looks like someone who will develop well.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

Decided to manage Bournemouth on a new save, playing a 4-2-3-1 I got off FM-base, works a treat on most games though tbh.

Bought in young Jacob Walcott on loan for the CAM position and he's been immense. 2nd in the league after 11 games atm, will post screens at midway point

Spend no money of course, had none. Got around £1.2k spare wage budget

We're like Football Manager at the moment with all the money we've got.

In fact, we as a club are like the Football Manager Editor, we do what the fuck we want, when the fuck we want.

Hulky bear, he cost 6.5mil from Everton. 10% sell-on. Bargain.

fyi, Thiago cost 6mil.

Been cutting out spending except a few mil on certain young players. The interest costs on the debt are crippling. I just made my first monthly profit for a couple of years, about 800k and that's with 8mil a month debt payments. Having 100k capacity helps though, also have monthly income from Macheda and Anderson transfers.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

I've started a Barcelona game recently... Only team i haven't scored against... Racing. I don't know why but i just can't put anything past them. They don't have any possession and very few shots and just seem to park the bus really well.

Also i mentioned earlier about my Liverpool game. Managed to beat Man U 4-1.. It may have helped that Rooney was injured and that they lost Jones to injury in the 1st half but I'll take it nonetheless.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

Javier Pastore finally wins the big one. World Player of the Year, 58 appearances, 45 assists and 23 goals. Kagawa finished up in 3rd.

Going strong so far at the halfway point. 18 games, 47 points. Won my CL group, albeit rather shaky (strong group in Dortmund and Juventus). Went 2-0 down to Juventus in a must win game, scored 1 before the break before hitting 5 for a excellent 6-2 victory.

Looking through some players, very few are hitting maximum potential. But, I am lazy when sorting PPMs.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

Completed my second season in charge of Louth Town and have secured back-to-back promotions after winning the NCE Premier League by 5 points also won the NCE League Cup, Pointon was again the top scorer with 30 league goals in 32 apperances and if you combine his leaguea nd cup goals over the past 2 seasons he has scored 80 goals in 95 appearances

The big problem I have found with this data is the prize money is far to generous, I got £1.2million for winning NCE League Cup and 400k for reaching the 4'th qualifying round of the FA Cup in which I lost 2-0 to Forest Green Rovers so it's a bit unrealistic in that respect, but regardless onwards on upwards I'm now in the Ryman Isthmian League Division 1

They’re the transfers for the summer so far. I’ve got £12m left in my budget and I want to sign Gotze. His contract’s up in a year so I’m hoping Dortmund sell him for a decent price now. They’ve let me have Hummels and sold Subotic to City for £16m. I’m trying to sell Carrick (no interest), Welbeck (turned down Spurs) and Lallana to help get funds if the board won’t throw me a bone. I’ve never had to ask for more funds yet. I just hope they see Gotze as the pimp that he is.

Anyway, these are the stats from last season, including Hernandez’s epic goals tally and Valencia’s huge number of assists.

I ended up finishing 2nd, beating Arsenal on goal difference again, beat them to the title on it last year but City won it this season. I won the FA Cup again, beating Liverpool in the final and got to the semis of the Champions League, losing to Barca 5-4 on aggregate.

I had a great end to the season, 18 wins from 22, including those wins over City (4-1) & Chelsea (6-0), then I had this one over Arsenal as well as wins over Barca & Real at Old Trafford:

Loved Vidic getting sent off!
