Re: **Official Football Manager Thread**

Started a West Ham game, and bought in David Bentley and Per Cijan Skelbred (sp?) and released loads of idiots *cough* Boa Morte *cough*. Green and Ashton have been on brilliant form, and I'm 8th in the league as of 1st of Janurary. Cijan has been great for me too, supplying 12 assists and 3 goals thus far.

Re: **Official Football Manager Thread**

A quick update on my Leeds game:

It's now January 20th, 2009. Leeds are top of the Championship, on 68 points with 21 wins, 5 draws and 2 losses. Wigan are 2nd with 66 points.

Vaclav Sverkos has scored 21 goals in the league, 2nd in the charts only to Marek Saganowski of Southampton who has 25.

Have made no signings in January as I'm constantly getting knocked back. Tried to sign Shola Ameobi, Wayne Routledge, Daniel Gabbidon, Anothny Stokes, all of whom were transfered listed and available for peanuts (I have 850k to spend and could've got all four for that) but they refuse to discuss terms with me, even thought their teams accept the offers I make.

Hopefully my young, cheap squad can hold out as at this rate it looks like we'll be making no signings at all. My only consolation is that Wigan have also signed no-one (excpet some random Welsh fullback from Wrexham called Ryan Vallentine, who has only made 8 appearances for them so far, and 4 of them were off the bench), while selling Agahowa to PSV and Dave Cotterill to Watford (they got promoted to the Prem last season).

The only other good thing going for me is that while I'm on 68 and Wigan are on 66, 3rd place Southampton are back on 58, so automatic promotion is looking good right now.

Re: **Official Football Manager Thread**

I just won Euro 2008 with England, beating Czech Republic 4-2! Think Gerrard and Owen scored twice.

had to play

Owen H.

For final, (in semi it was Rooney instead of Owen as Owen was injured)

Went threw group stage easy, did draw 0-0 with Switzerland but went threw on top! !

I Rock apparently?

OSHIT @ me mauling Red Star Belgrade 7-1 in the UCL.

Stankovic is a god, four cracking goals in that match. And Ibra has 21 goals already and I'm only in december. RATINGS.

Re: **Official Football Manager Thread**

OK. Just here too update you in my Chelsea season. Am into the 9th March now and am sitting second in the league with a game in hand and only 2 points behind Man Utd. I have won the Carling Cup. In the last 8 of the Champions League and in the semies of the FA Cup. The 7th round .

So i would say its going pretty well. Drogba overall meaning in all competitions has 27 goals and that includes going away in the African Nations were his side got too the final with Cameroon A.K.A. Makouns team and the real beast scored the winner to win the cup for Cameroon. I totally marked but at the same time felt sorry for Drogba and Kalou . I actually nearly sold Drogba thanks to a 27m bid from Real but he didn't accept there wage which i am now happy with.

Huntelaar has also started to score and Gilardino has only made 7 starts in all competitions has 14 goals which is awesome. Huntelaar only has 6 goals but less starts sadly . You actually don't know how hard it is in January with Chelsea with all your players away and i had so many injured. In January i brought in the real beat IRL Baptista for 10.25m. It was a desperate buy. I admit that. Also brought in Marcelo as Ashley and Wayne Bridge were injured but then found out he needs to get a work permit but he has still signed with me. I also bought Diogo from Feynoord who had 26 goals in 22 appearances in the league but he also needs a work permit.

I finally bought De Jong on the last day as Baptista got injured but anyway i got through this hard time and now haven't conceded in 10 games straight which is awesome. Also, Essien and Makoun are out for a total of 9 months with Makoun being out for 5
