Started a United game. Went on a bit of a rebuilding mission to start with.

Shipped out Park and Macheda on loan, sold Gibson (what?!), dropped Owen and Berbatov out of the squad. Went on to win title, knocked out in last 8 of CL by Chelsea.

Just started a new season. Put Carrick up for sale, Evans too is going up for sale. Got rid of Park permanently. Brought in a lot of youngsters and a few from United academy who are classed as wonderkids.

Hernandez scored 42 goals last season and sweeped the awards.

Just kicking off season 3, one thing that leapt out was how shit Kaka has become so quickly. I got a scouting report for him and he was regarded as only a useful player (I'm playing Chelsea).

I'm also experiencing Barcelonaitis. Every time I face them it inevitably ends with a 90th minute bannana shot by Busquet's or a fluke goal by Iniesta... I hate facing Barca.

I also definitely think this version is superior to 11. Runs smoother for me and has a much better game engine. One thing I don't like is that their seems to be a real lack of top draw wonderkids initially, generally I seem to have to pick up regens and develop them, but that quite frankly takes ages.

I went for a Spain trip on my last preseason and had Barca first up. They had Samba and played him up front on his own. I've now drawn them in the Group Stage of the CL along with Juve so interesting to see if they repeat that choice.

He's a beast ain't he?! Finished my season with Man U a couple of days ago and he got 39 goals (25/25 in the league) in all competitions in 41 appearances, 39 starts, and he was injured for two months from October! Rooney only got 22, Welbeck 15 & Owen 13. Sold Berbatov to Barcelona for £10m at the start of the season.

Won the title on the last day ahead of Arsenal on goal difference after a 1-1 draw at Anfield of all places, all I needed was a point with the goal difference being far superior to Arsenal's.

I won the FA Cup, 3-0 over Tottenham in the final but lost the League Cup final to Wolves 1-0 in extra time. They only had one shot on target the whole 120 minutes and it went in. Lost in the last 16 of the Champions League 2-1 on aggregate to Real, losing 2-0 away but winning 1-0 at home. I had so many injuries I was surprised I managed to get close in the return leg.

An overhaul with United is needed. Evra, Evans, Cocksmack, Carrick (loan to PSG), Park, Berbatov, Macheda all went. Rafael went to Milan for £7m in January. Gibson & Diouf rotted in the reserves all season but have now gone. Sold Fletcher to Inter for £10m in the summer and Anderson's gone to Bayern for £8m. Lindegaard's gone to Chelsea too for £3.5m and Lallana on loan to Everton.

I brought in Aly Cissokho, Van Der Wiel, Andre Ayew, Huddlestone, Thiago (loan) Lallana (amazing stats, highest average rating come May) last summer, and added Moussa Sissoko in January.

Injuries really screwed me over though February - April like my Newcastle game. I lost all my full backs bar Smalling plus Vidic for over a month plus all first team strikers bar Hernandez. My back four for a while was:

De Gea
Smalling - Jones - Ferdinand - Giggs
Fryers & Fletcher had to play at full back too at one point in that run, somehow they delivered.

This summer's been frustrating. Some of the asking prices are just insane. Looked to bring in the likes of Gotze, Hazard, Modric, Bale, Neymar, Martinez & Hulk but I was quoted silly money and they rejected all my bids. I ended up negotiating Santos down to £35m for Neymar and brought in Kagawa for £10m.

Valencia was a beast in the run-in on the right, and Young was great behind Rooney & Hernandez. So far in pre-season Valencia's made six goals in four games, made four for Hernandez in one game. Little Pea's got 9 in 5. Destroyed Malaga at home and won 3-0 away at Schalke.

I could do with another keeper and maybe a central midfielder but happy for the time being.

To add to the Hernandez hype: finished my first season and he got 63 goals.

Think it's partially due to my tactics/formation, the front man seems to bag all the goals. And he scored about 10 penalties without missing (usually he's on a hat-trick and automatically gets to take it). I swear his stats for that aren't remotely high?
