I like to save before a match too and just after it, I've lost a few games when the powers gone out during a storm or when my computer decides to reset.

I'm using a 4-2-3-1 at Liverpool with no wingers as the AMC/CM's at the club are great and Downing/Kuyt can also play in the centre. I also use either Suarez or Guerrero (from HSV) as a Trequartista in the centre of the attacking mids. It's working well for me with Enrique getting up the park and Kelly at right fullback, Lucas and Henderson work well together in the centre. Poachers seem to work well with 3 attacking mids, Bellamy scored a few before I sold him in season 2.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

I typically use a 4-5-1 even though I prefer to see it more as a 4-3-3 with two inside forwards

No matter where I go I like to play a fluid game but unfortunately for me I only have a select success

Right now I'm doing a cheat save using FMRTE with Saints - kind of a local club for me I guess but I've added me and 3 friends who are also playing through the database on their games

It's a lot more fun than I have normally but it doesn't help when my knowledge is limited to the top tier of European football in the primary leagues, not ones under it. Makes it a lot harder knowing who to replace and who to bring in

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

Just snapped up an absolute bargain, Gonzalo Castro from Mallorca who's a LM/LW with a CA of 143, as for some teams he'd be a good backup, others a first teamer, has a ridiculous release clause of just 16k.

Weird.

A few African players have clubs named after them in the game too.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*

On my third year with Chelsea. Got a beastly squad. Looks like this:

Goalkeepers: Petr Cech, Ross Turnbull

Defenders: Mats Hummels, David Luiz, Sergei Gomez, John Terry, Alex, Branislav Ivanovic, Ashley Cole, Jose Bosingwa, Ryan Bertrand, Ben Gordon.

Midfielders: Mario Gotze, Javier Pastore, Ramires, Josh McEachran, Eden Hazard, Lucas Piazon, John Obi Mikel, Gael Kakuta, Michael Essien, Florent Malouda, Yossi Benayoun

Forwards: Fernando Torres, Romelu Lukaku, Daniel Sturridge, Didier Drogba, Paco Alcacar, Terence Makengo.

And coming in in July 2013- Isaac Cuenca. Signed him, and when he's done with Barca he's gonna be wearing Blue.

Makengo is a beast. Lampard, Drogba, Benayoun, and Malouda are gonna be dropped at seasons end because they are all so old now.
