Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
I think I'm going to load up my Tottenham game and try and make them the biggest team in the world. I don't think I'm too far in to it, so I'm looking forward to it.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
Im not into this game this yr that much, keep losing and is very hard. Im using the classic tactical system but not sure what tactics to use, seeing as my assistant doesnt help me anymore like in fm11.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
What formations do you guys tend to use most often? No matter what club i'm at i generally use a 4-2-3-1. Striker always set to poacher, with my AMC set as a trequartista. Found that it usually works pretty well for me. With the other 2 tactics its usually just a simple 4-4-2 or 4-1-2-1-2 depending on if i have a good DM and a 5-3-2 if i need to defend more.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
depends on who i've got, but recently i've used a 4-2-2-2. 2cms, 2 wingers and two strikers.
i usually like to use a DM because i hate conceding goals, but i've got too many attacking players to not use them

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
I go for the 4-5-1 in my first season at clubs then switch to 4-4-2 in my second then back and forth.
4-5-1 being standard back line, lone strike set to either complete forward or poacher depending on who I have and a midfield of...

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
Using 4-4-1-1 with Tottenham as I try and be realistic with my games. I haven't even made any signings in the summer. Got all the corner and free kick routines down to a tee as well as who defends what and who's on the line for corners etc. as realistic as possible.

I'm on the 4-2-3-1 bandwagon too, currently with my forward just being an AF and my AMC being a playmaker. Wingers usually whip it in for him to get a few easy goals and my AMC (Skacel) is awesome at playing my strikers in. Then I have a ball winning midfielder and deep lying playmaker to shore up the midfield. 4-1-2-1-2 and 5-3-2 are my backup formations but I'm thinking of switching out 4-1-2-1-2 for something more effective since it hasn't done me much good in games I've used it

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
4-4-2 is my standard formation then I also use a 4-2-3-1/4-5-1 and with Genoa I had a 3-5-2 setup, but that's only coz they had the right players for it to work. Usually I'll split the 4-2-3-1 and 4-5-1 into seperate tactics.

Re: *Official Football Manager Discussion Thread*
4-1-3-2. 4 defenders, 1 cm, 3 attacking mids and 2 strikers.
