On a serious note, yeah, well, it obviously would, because you are replacing the database folder with the one you just downloaded.

When you click new game you can choose to use the new database or the old.

Download the file from the link a few posts above. Extract it and then put the folder in

My Documents > Sports Interactive > Football manager 2008 > db

When you start a new game it will ask you what databse you want to use.

2 days till FM09, but I'm not rushing out for it. I'll likely wait and ask someone to get me it at xmas imo.

Exactly what I'll be doing also. Might even get it later than that when the patch has been released. Anybody else got a problem with the 3D engine?
