I usually use Rooney, Owen, Crouch, Defoe and Sinclair, although I had so many strikers injured (Owen was barely fit and Crouch, Rooney, Heskey, Bent and Agbonlahor were all injured, and I refuse to play Andy Johnson), so I had to call up Alan Smith for the Confedarations cup.

Used him as a sub and he came on and scored the winning goal against Brazil

Used him for one more game and he was shit, so I got rid of him.

Alan Smith was a legend on 05 for me, and 06 he was decent, but ever since he joined Newcastle he's blown hard

Just won the World Cup with England to add to Euro 2008.

Thrashed Morocco, Greece and Uruguay in the group stages, beat Portugal on penalties, beat Italy 2-0, beat Argentina 3-0 despite being dominated for the first hour, and then beat France 3-2 in extra time in the final. Was 2-1 down with 4 minutes left and punching the desk until Owen scored a penalty before I won it in e.t. with an own-goal

Apparently, the French defenders were outraged with the controversial penalty. O well!

Owen is awesome. 58 goals now, in 113 caps.

Playing Football Manager on my PSP with Rochdale. Started in League 2, and t'was 2006. Finished mid-table first season with too many draws, and i decided to spice things up a bit. I went 4-3-3 and was able to get Jemal Johnson, a free agent who was released by Blackburn. Money in dire straits tho; sold my keeper; Joe Murphy to Cardiff for 140k because i of a big club release clause but i only got 8k of it to spend on a keeper.

Anyway, second season, runner-up in the LDV grand final, absolutely owned 'til the final, i beat Hull on the way

Had to play Hull again in the FA Cup and won the game but i went on to lose to Arsenal 1-0

In the league, 7th coming into the final game of the season and won 4-0 and went up 2nd

For the third season i'm on atm, i've bought in Josip Skoko on a free, Asa Hall on a free, Sam Oji on a free, Chris Shanks on loan from Newcastle and Hogan Ephraim on loan from West Ham. Josip's contract was up at Wigan, same for Oji and Hall, but at Birmingham. Currently 5th in League 1 after 16 games.

Wow, talk about the usual suspects.

Almost everyone in a big club buys the exact same players (Maxi, Sakho, Piatti, Kompany, Richards etc)

I only bought 4 players, and one of them has gone out of loan (Thiago).

They gave me a budget of 188 million, the year before they spent 111 million, 47 million before that
