Frazier Campbell's amazing for United. Played 6 games off the bench and scored 3 times. Definite purchase on loan for lower league teams and will be quality for United for me next season.

I've downloaded a graphics pack with all the Premier League logos and put it in the Graphics folder of the SI folder in My Documents, but nothing's happened. Will the changes only take effect if I start a new game?

Can someone give me an idiot's guide to this, please? I've trawled the net, but all the fan sites assume people know what they're doing.

Make sure your pictures are saved in.

My Documents > Sports Interactive > Football manager 2008 > Graphics > then create folders for

Logos
Kits
Players

and place all your stuff in the relevent places.

Load up the game.

Go in to preferences and disable skin cache and enable always reload skin on confirm. Save and close FM2008 and restart it.

[list][*]Go into My Documents and locate the Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2007 folder.
[*]Secondly Create a folder called "Graphics".
[*]Inside this folder, you can either just paste everything you download into it, or sort them into the following, Logos, Facepacks, Kits & Others. Making it even easier for you to insert them.
[*]Then once you have put all the graphics into this folder, load up FM 07.
[*]Go into preferences and down the menu panel, you will find "Display & Sound" click on it.
[*]You will find the following options "Skin Cache" & "Always Reload Skin On Confirm".
[*]Untick the "Skin Cache" option.
[*]Tick the "Always Reload Skin On Confirm".

Then go into the game and all your graphics should now appear.

Voila, you now have graphics in Football Manager 2007. Congratulations.

EDIT - Ignore the above, it's done.

One question though: why since adding the graphics have all the teams and names (mine and players) got a number near the name at the top of the screen (it appears next to the oval shaped flags). It looks like the number in the database or something.

They weren't there before, I'm sure. How do I get rid?

EDIT - Think I've fixed it. Turning off Show Unique IDs seems to have done it. Sound right?

EDIT 2 - How do I make my picture appear in my manager's profile? It was there until I added the custom stuff. Help please, football wizards!

I don't know because have only got the demo at the minute and I haven't tried adding my own picture for the managers profile.

Yeah I was thinking of purchasing a new ST, but went with Campbell as backup to Rooney + Saha, with Tevez on the bench, and he's been great. 6 goals in 12 appearances so far, and I'm only in December. And Nicky Ajose from the Youth Team is a beast. He came on for Saha against Chelsea when I was drawing 1-1 and bagged a hat trick in the last ten minutes. Immediately offered him a first team deal, he's my fifth option, and a damn good one for the Carling Cup, games vs Derby etc.

Is it just me or is this version ridiculously easy. Someone I know who hasn't even played any version of FM up until now just won the league with Villa in his first season. I seriously reckon there's some sort of handicap in human controlled teams, especially in keepers. He's got Sorenson on an average rating of 8.
