Re: Official Video Game/Platform Purchase Help Thread
Yeah, there are several to choose from. Don't know what I'm gonna get.
HDMI is boss though, 720p in HDMI totally destroys 720p in component.

Re: Official Video Game/Platform Purchase Help Thread
Ive been thinking about getting Assassins Creed for the 360 but im hesitant because im hearing alot about it being boring and not having a very solid storyline. Is it worth the buy?

I was seriously considering upgrading to the HDMI a couple days back. Though, I really didn't think it would be as big of a difference.
But now that I see a good number of people claiming such a large improvement, I am going to pick it up.
If you had to give it an improvement rate, IE: x1, x5, 10, 20, what would you give it, Bubba?
Thanks in advance for you help, Bubba T.

It is if you play it properly and not go straight through the story, if you collect flags and do side missions then its alright but if you just go striaght through killing the main guys, it gets boring.
Bubba leave motorstorm, Heavenly Sword is brill but short, R&C is a triple AAA title so you cant go wrong with that. You should also look at Uncharted: Drakes Fortune. Plus UT3 is out on dec 12 so you could buy that.
Near HDMI is about 5x better, HDMI is far better than component so if you have the chance pick a HDMI cord up.

Re: Official Video Game/Platform Purchase Help Thread
I'm posting this message on my PS3!! >_>
I'd actually give the improvement 5x as well. Everything is a lot more sharper than component.
You know, I downloaded the Uncharted demo yesteerday and I wasn't really impressed by it graphically. Maybe it's just me but Tomb Raider Legend looked better. I have to rn to work now, so I'll install the R&C demo later. LOL at installing demos though. I've been spoiled by Xbox Live.

Re: Official Video Game/Platform Purchase Help Thread
Ok peeps, I need some advice. Can anyone recommend any good PS3 games for a new PS3 owner? I'm not looking for anything specific, just something that is gonna keep me going back and back again to play more.
Thx in advance.

Re: Official Video Game/Platform Purchase Help Thread
P4F what sort of games are you into, Tekken DR from the PS Store is really good espcially if you have the online expansion. R&C would be a good game to get for a new owner aswell just to get a feel of the motion sensoring on the controller and to see the graphics of the PS3, also if you like adventure games Uncharted is a safe bet.

No problem.
Well then Uncharted: Drakes Fortune would be a safe bet seeing as you like adventure, check out some of the reviews for it. Oblivion GOTY Edition would be good aswell, you would just keep coming back to it as its such a big game, its GOTY edition aswell which adds all the expansions to it so even more playpack value.

Re: Official Video Game/Platform Purchase Help Thread
I just played the Rachet and Clank demo and it's AWESOME. I'm definitely putting this at the top of my Gamefly queue.
