Re: Official Video Game Purchase Help Thread
Dead Rising is a good game but I don't really like it THAT much. I liked it originally but it got a little boring for me after about a week. I love F.E.A.R though, because I had it on PC and it was a brilliant transition to the 360 in my opinion. Great single player but online isn't that great. I was disappointed that they didn't put in a co-op feature. That would of made it a must have.

Is it a first person shooter? Is the storyline long?

Dead Rising? It's a third person action adventure.

Re: Official Video Game Purchase Help Thread
If you have a 360, do yourself a favour and buy Dead Or Alive 4. To me, even Tekken 5 cant match the game. DOA4 is mega fuckin' hard, specialy bacause the counter system is much harder to get the hang of, but that kinda adds to the fun! And the game was so well executed, with all the little details tuned up.

If your referring to FEAR, then yes it is a first person shooter and definitely a good one.
The storyline could be considered "long" but it is also quite complex and is slowly revealed through the game as you retrieve information concerning "the incident" and listening to answering machine messages that have been left unanswered. I would highly reccomend this game, it is highly unpredictable and i am only half way through it primarily because it scares me shitless and i figured why play a game that scares me than a game that doesnt scare me :O
The storyline is quite intrigueing and was always interesting, the "bullet-time" feature is great fun and is quite essential in some parts of the game, which i found most enjoyable, after playing the game for many days i have to say the whole storyline is quite cloudy and confusing but i guess it will eventually completely reveal itself towards the end of the game or perhaps the expansion.

Re: Official Video Game Purchase Help Thread
I'd recommed DOA 4 to everyone, it's fucking hard though, but still great.

Aaah, someone agrees with me, what are the odds? Its only hard because the counter system is harder to get the hang of than in the previous installments.
And another game I'd suggest to those who dont have a girlfriend, and to those who have, but dont get to spend enough time with them, buy Dead Or Alive Xtreme 2. Trust me, its underrated. So sue me for sayin it.
