Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion is good if you want to forget about your social life for a while.
Get Rainbow Six : Vegas, Lost Planet : Extreme Condition.
Awesome games.

Re: Official Video Game Purchase Help Thread
I'm right now in between three games to get. Star Wars Battlefront II, Lego Star Wars, Lego Star Wars II. I played a demo of Lego Star Wars II and it was suprisingly good. I never played the other two. Is Lego Star Wars a little too childish? Which game is the better buy? Opinians on the games? thank you!

Don't get Lego Star Wars, I beat the game in a couple of days, get Battlefront 2 and if you don't have the first one get that as well. They are extremely fun and have replay value, Lego Star Wars doesn't have any replay value except playing some missions over again.

If I were you, I'd stay away from Lego Star Wars, while the game does have its ups, it really is just too easy and a game you'll only find yourself playing once after you beat it. On the other hand, Battlefront is one of my personal favorite games. Its similiarity to Battlefield is quite good, and its a game you'll always find yourself going back to. So I would def. go with Battlefront. Also, for multiplayer purposes, Battlefront is the easy choice.

IMO, no not really. Go with something like GTA or Just Cause. Black monday just didn't do anything for me. Maybe get your hands on a demo or hire it just to test it...

Also Most Wanted is superior to Carbon in almost every aspect. Some people will diagree but most people thought Most Wanted was better than Carbon.
I hope that helped.

I'm thinking of buying The Sims Life Stories.
Is this a good game and is it worth buying?

Well none of the Sims games fail to impress so I think it's probably worth buying. Sims games are always addictive.
